Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks launched on 30 October 2026 in two versions: Espeon ex with an exclusive Victini promo, and Umbreon ex with an exclusive Zeraora promo. Each is a ready-to-play 60-card foil deck with a deck box, playmat and coin.

The deciding factor is which Pokémon and promo card you want. The accessories and card count match, and there are no booster packs in Pokémon’s announced contents. Here’s the full comparison, including what each version offers and how these decks differ from the anniversary’s pack-based products.

Both versions are physical Pokémon Trading Card Game products, not digital Pokémon TCG Pocket decks. They’re built for someone who wants a complete deck to use rather than individual cards from random booster packs.

The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks aren’t identical, but the big difference is clear: Victini or Zeraora. Pokémon confirms both promos as exclusive illustration rare-style cards. They’re advertised as included cards, rather than prizes you need to pull from packs.

Espeon ex Battle Deck: Contents and Victini Promo

The Espeon version contains a 60-card all-foil deck led by Espeon ex, an exclusive Victini illustration rare-style promo, a deck box, playmat and coin. That’s enough to start playing without building a 60-card deck yourself.

If Espeon is the one you collect, this is the box to choose. It’s also the only one of these two Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks advertised with Victini. Umbreon’s version has a different promo.

Umbreon ex Battle Deck: Contents and Zeraora Promo

The Umbreon deck contains its own 60-card all-foil deck, led by Umbreon ex. You’ll receive the exclusive Zeraora illustration rare-style promo alongside the same play accessories: deck box, playmat and coin.

Choose Umbreon if that is your favourite Eeveelution or if Zeraora is the card you want. There is no requirement to own Espeon’s version before buying this one, and the Zeraora promo isn’t the advertised extra card in Espeon’s box.

Which Version Should You Choose?

Both Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks have the same advertised number of cards and accessories. That makes the decision especially straightforward for collectors: Espeon and Victini, or Umbreon and Zeraora.

For playing, both are ready-to-use decks. Pokémon’s product description doesn’t include the full 60-card lists, so it doesn’t support a detailed matchup analysis or a claim that one version is stronger. Pick the featured Pokémon you enjoy, unless you have a verified decklist to compare.

Do the Battle Decks Include Booster Packs?

No booster packs appear in the official contents. The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks are fixed ready-to-play products, unlike the 30th Celebration booster packs that offer a chance at collectible cards.

If you’re collecting the 30 anniversary Pikachu artworks, look at the Booster Bundle or an Elite Trainer Box instead. Our ETB comparison covers the different pack counts. Those products serve a different purpose from a full premade deck.

Release Date and UK Buying Information

The official product page lists 30 October 2026 as the launch date; Pokémon’s UK anniversary showcase includes both decks in October’s range. Pokémon names its own Pokémon Center and other Pokémon TCG retailers as places to look.

UK price and stock depend on the individual retailer, so check whether the listing allows you to select Espeon or Umbreon. A listing that says the style may vary isn’t a guarantee of the particular promo you’re after.

Are These the Same as Pokémon TCG Pocket?

No. These are physical tabletop decks. The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Battle Decks aren’t Pokémon TCG Pocket packs or an in-app promotion. If you want Victini or Zeraora from these products, choose the corresponding physical deck.

You only need one variant to start playing. Buying both makes sense if you want both exclusive promo cards or want to play with both featured Pokémon. For every other anniversary release, our 30th Celebration products guide covers the wider schedule.
