Planet Zoo 2 known issues November 2026 include zoo-loading crashes, stuck animals, broken staff behaviour and Deluxe Edition species caught behind Accreditation requirements. One serious crash has now been fixed, but many other reported bugs are still being investigated. Here’s how to tell what’s actually been patched from what Frontier is still working on.
The latest confirmed hotfix is Update 1.0.9 from 5 November. It fixes crashes connected to Loony Bloons shops and counters and Souvenir Shops. The separate Under Investigation report, updated 4 November, lists fixes being tested for another update planned early in the week beginning Monday 9 November. There’s no confirmed release day yet.

Is the 1.0.9 Loony Bloons shop crash fixed?
Yes, for that specific issue. Frontier released 1.0.9 on 5 November to address a crash caused by Loony Bloons shops and counters and Souvenir Shops. The same zoo could then crash whenever you tried opening it. Frontier says those saves were not lost and should load again once the fix is installed. Its 5 November announcement specifically confirmed Steam availability.
If yours stopped opening after placing or using one of those shops, install the hotfix before doing anything drastic. Don’t delete your save. Other crashes aren’t automatically fixed by 1.0.9. Our Planet Zoo 2 crashing guide explains what to check if the problem continues.
Planet Zoo 2 known issues November 2026: fixes being tested
The following Planet Zoo 2 known issues November 2026 are on Frontier’s testing list. None is confirmed fixed by 1.0.9, and testing them doesn’t guarantee every item will make the next release.
- Crashes and saves: several more crashes and a Career campaign-storage hardlock after claiming a conservation-project reward
- Animal storage: sold animals sometimes reappearing in storage
- Deluxe Edition access: removing Accreditation requirements for Golden Eagle, Golden Lion Tamarin, Great Hammerhead Shark, Axolotl and Blue and Gold Fusilier
- Staff: staff stuck holding boxed animals and not refilling habitat food frequently enough
- Guests: guests stuck on benches at 0% energy and a rebalance of food/drink shop appeal versus restaurants
- Building and interface: the exit-group button running off-screen in some languages; Raisin 4m strip bushes shifting after closing the game
- Animal behaviour: terrain requirements stuck at the wrong value and Sand Tiger Sharks becoming stuck
- Controls: ESC deselecting before closing menus, a gamepad issue selecting Travel to Wildlife Reserve while Trading & Storage is open, and a patch-notes QR code in the Planet Hub
The Deluxe animals haven’t been given the planned Accreditation exemption yet. Keep following the requirements shown in your game until Frontier releases the change. Our Franchise Accreditation guide explains the tiers as they stand.
Planet Zoo 2 known issues November 2026: longer-term investigations
Frontier has separate, longer-term work on animals being boxed too often, impossible-looking animations, automatic exhibit population management and how guests use bins and benches. Seasonal guest and staff clothing, better Sandbox season controls and future North American and European Grasslands maps are on this list too. None has a dated release promise.

How to report Planet Zoo 2 bugs that are still happening

Then search the official Frontier issue tracker to see whether someone has already reported it. Add useful details to an existing report where appropriate. For related help, our Franchise Mode guide covers server and animal storage problems, while our aquarium feeders guide is useful if keepers aren’t feeding fish. To see the changes that actually arrived last month, read the Update 1.0.8 patch notes.
So, if you’re waiting for a fix from the Planet Zoo 2 known issues November 2026 list, check which problem you’re dealing with. Update 1.0.9 addresses the shop crash; for the others, keep an eye on Frontier’s next published patch notes rather than assuming a proposed fix has gone live.
