Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation: All 5 Tiers, Requirements and Unlocks

Planet Zoo 2 How to Make Money

Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation controls which species, marketing options, research equipment and storage capacity your Franchise can unlock. You begin with 32 species and progress through five tiers as you build a network of zoos and Wildlife Reserves. This means animals can be locked by progression even when the online Animal Market is available.

The most important distinction is that Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation requires Zoo Reputation and Wildlife Reserve Biodiversity ratings, while Career Mode uses scenario medals. Below you’ll find the five Franchise requirements, every tier reward and a route to unlock the full roster without trying to grind one zoo forever.

The Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation table shows the initial 32 species, followed by 33, 31, 30 and 10 extra species through subsequent tiers. That’s a combined 136. The tier requirements reflect launch-game Franchise guides, but if you encounter an updated in-game Accreditation screen with different thresholds, its current values take priority.

Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation Tier 2: Three Zoo Reputation Stars

Build one zoo to three Reputation Stars. Keep the animals healthy and fed, provide enough staff and guest services, and don’t let the park’s finances collapse. Tier 2 adds 33 species, a Camera Trap and two Bronze marketing slots. This tier only needs one qualifying zoo, so there’s no reason to establish a reserve yet.

If you don’t see Reputation increasing, examine the components of the rating rather than just adding more enclosures. Your first goal is to make the existing zoo function reliably. Veterinary research, clean exhibits, good enrichment and working guest facilities are more helpful than trying to buy expensive animals immediately.

Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation Tier 3: Two Zoos and One Reserve

For Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation Tier 3, you need two zoos with at least three Reputation Stars each, plus one Wildlife Reserve with three Biodiversity Stars. It unlocks 31 additional species, the Acoustic Monitor, another Bronze marketing slot and a Silver marketing slot. Improving the first zoo alone cannot meet these requirements.

Use the Planet Hub to establish a second zoo. Develop both parks until they independently meet the three-star threshold. Then create a Wildlife Reserve, research release-eligible species with vets, prepare a suitable ecosystem and release appropriate animals. Reserve Biodiversity Rating isn’t the same as a zoo’s Reputation.

Accreditation Tier 4: add a second three-star reserve

For Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation Tier 4, retain two zoos at three Reputation Stars each and build a second Wildlife Reserve with three Biodiversity Stars. The reward is 30 additional species, one extra Bronze and Silver marketing slot and 50 more Animal Storage spaces. The second reserve must qualify independently; a higher rating at your first reserve isn’t a replacement.

Accreditation Tier 5: how to unlock the final animals

Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation Tier 5 requires two three-star zoos and three separate three-star Wildlife Reserves. It unlocks the final ten species and another Silver and Gold marketing slot. According to the launch Accreditation table, lions and elephants are among the species restricted to the highest tier.

You don’t need five stars at every park to earn the final Accreditation level. The requirement is three stars at a specific number of different locations. That makes opening a third viable reserve more valuable for progression than raising your first reserve from four stars to five while leaving the network incomplete.

Career Accreditation vs Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation

1Starting tier
22 Bronze medals, 1 Silver medal
37 Bronze medals, 1 Silver medal
412 Bronze medals, 2 Silver medals
518 Bronze medals, 2 Silver medals

Career Accreditation depends on medals from the individual scenarios. It can also unlock new missions and other progression benefits. Don’t use these Career medal numbers to work out whether Franchise animals should appear in the market, because the requirements belong to a different mode.

Why animals remain locked after Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation

To check a species unlock in Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation, open Animal Trading and see whether the animal requires a higher tier. If so, meet that Accreditation requirement first. If the animal is unlocked but isn’t listed, clear market filters and check again later. Frontier’s October 14 Update 1.0.4 improved initial online trading volumes, but it didn’t guarantee every animal would be available in the market at every moment.

A missing listing, an unavailable server and a locked species are three different problems. Avoid deleting Franchise zoos or reinstalling the game because your preferred animal isn’t appearing. Our Franchise troubleshooting guide explains the online service issues.

Fastest Planet Zoo 2 Franchise Accreditation route

Start with a financially stable zoo and reach three Reputation Stars. Open a second zoo and earn its three-star rating, then turn your attention to Wildlife Reserves. Raise three reserves to three Biodiversity Stars in succession. Species research, appropriately selected release groups and viable habitats are the foundation of that progress.

Within a reserve, research and release only species accepted by its ecosystem. Remove pollution and invasive plants, provide suitable habitat and use research equipment to monitor progress. When the Biodiversity Rating reaches three stars, that reserve can satisfy the relevant Accreditation requirement. Use our Wildlife Reserves walkthrough for release steps.
