DayZ 1.30 Update 3 went live on 3 November 2026, bringing fixes for one-sided Digital Code Locks, rebuilding bugs and a Sakhal bunker-door exploit. Bohemia also rebalanced heatstroke in Badlands. These changes reached the stable version of the game on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

The important bit is knowing which problems have actually been fixed. Stable build 1.30.164289 fixes several frustrating base-building issues, but the Morse-code radio bug is still there. Here’s the full picture for players and server owners.

The stable release of DayZ 1.30 Update 3 arrived on 3 November 2026 as version 1.30.164289. The same version number appeared in the earlier Experimental Update 3 on 29 October, but that was a test branch. The fixes are no longer limited to experimental servers.

This is the stable update, not a preview build. The 29 October Experimental Update 3 used the same version number, but it wasn’t available to everyone. The PC, PlayStation and Xbox stable notes all list the fixes below.

DayZ 1.30 Update 3 fixes for Digital Code Locks

In some specific buildings, a Digital Code Lock could be interacted with from only one side of the door. DayZ 1.30 Update 3 fixes that issue, tracked as DZG-1772. If you were able to operate a lock from inside but not outside, this is the repair you were waiting for.

This was the one-sided interaction bug in specific buildings, not a complete rework of Digital Code Locks. The same patch also fixes some older door problems, including locks flipping after server restarts and doors that couldn’t be unlocked after restarting.

If your lock still doesn’t work, start with its battery, attachment slot and PIN before blaming the old bug. Our DayZ code locks guide walks through those checks.

Rebuilding house and door fixes

Two fixes target the rebuilding system introduced with Badlands. First, the list of lock slots on a rebuildable house no longer duplicates itself each time the world is loaded. The bug was logged as DZG-1404. Those extra slots weren’t new lock positions you could actually use.

Second, the game now handles indoor and outdoor detection correctly for the rebuildable house Land_House_1S2_Dam2. That fix applies to the named house. Another building, Land_House_2M2, still has a known AI navigation issue.

Our Badlands rebuilding guide covers repairing walls, doors and wells. DayZ 1.30 Update 3 fixes how certain rebuilt structures behave; the notes don’t introduce new recipes.

What changed with Badlands heatstroke?

Heatstroke was rebalanced in DayZ 1.30 Update 3. Bohemia doesn’t give new temperature thresholds, dehydration rates or recovery timings in the 3 November notes, so old numerical advice shouldn’t automatically be treated as current.

Heatstroke hasn’t been removed from Nasdara. Carry water and use shelter when crossing exposed ground. Our Badlands diseases guide covers heatstroke, irritated eyes and Sillicosis separately.

Sakhal bunker generator exploit fixed

DayZ 1.30 Update 3 also fixes a Frostline-specific exploit: the Sakhal bunker door could previously be opened without using the generator. The fix is tracked as DZG-1218. This is Sakhal’s generator-powered bunker. It has nothing to do with Nasdara’s Morse-code broadcasts.

If you’re searching for the Nasdara radio code instead, the situation is different. Nasdara’s radio broadcasts are a different story: repeated incomplete code fragments remain on the known-issues list. Our Morse Code bunkers guide explains what to listen for.

Server settings and other general fixes

Server owners get a specific fix for the disableBaseDamage option in cfggameplay. Setting it to true now correctly applies the intended damage protection to rebuilding objects. It also fixed ordinary base-building objects taking damage despite that option being enabled.

Away from Badlands, DayZ 1.30 Update 3 fixes several crashes, a watchtower dismantling bug where connected towers could come down too, and an exploit for making unlimited improvised bolts. It also tackles some restart-related door and vehicle issues, including fuel and coolant disappearing after a restart.

If the problem persists on a modded community server, check the server build and rules before assuming the official fix failed. Mods and server settings can affect behaviour.

Known issues still listed after DayZ 1.30 Update 3

These problems were still listed as known issues in the 3 November stable notes:

Known issueWhat players may notice
Land_House_2M2 navigation meshAI movement may behave incorrectly in this rebuildable house
Morse radio broadcastsBroadcasts can repeat incomplete parts of codes
Underground tunnelsInfected and animals may detect characters underground
Sakhal military boatsBoat loot can appear underwater

Other known issues include infected spawning slowly and awkward water interactions. There is no documented workaround for the radio’s incomplete code fragments in these notes, so don’t waste time following claims of a guaranteed frequency fix.

Is DayZ 1.30 Update 3 worth installing?

For base builders, yes. Fixing the one-sided lock interaction and duplicated house slots takes two persistent annoyances out of the way. Players on Sakhal also get the generator-door exploit fix.

DayZ 1.30 Update 3 repairs some important base and bunker bugs. Incomplete Morse broadcasts and the Land_House_2M2 navigation issue weren’t fixed in this build.
