Supercell announced the precise Squad Busters shutdown date in its October 2026 FAQ update. The older January 2026 answers on the same page refer only to a broad closure window, so the October dates supersede that earlier estimate.

Supercell has confirmed the date, but not an exact time for the servers to go offline. If you want one last session, play before 14 December rather than counting on having the whole day.
Will Squad Busters work after it leaves the App Store?
Yes. The 1 December change is a delisting, not the server shutdown. Supercell says you can continue playing if you already have the game installed. The Squad Busters shutdown date applies to both iPhone and Android players on 14 December.
If you uninstall the app after delisting, getting it back may be a problem. Supercell hasn’t guaranteed that previous downloads can be restored once the store listings disappear. Keeping your installation in place is the safer option if you want to play during those final days.
Squad Busters shutdown date: what happens to your account?
When the servers close, Squad Busters player profiles and stats won’t be accessible anymore. If you’ve built a collection you’re proud of or have a match result worth remembering, grab a screenshot now. Supercell also suggests saving gameplay clips.
There’s no announced downloadable profile archive that would let you browse your full Squad Busters account after shutdown. Once they’re gone, you won’t be able to go back and look through that progress.
That doesn’t mean Supercell has announced the closure of your entire Supercell ID. Its statement concerns your Squad Busters profile and statistics, not your separate progress in games such as Clash Royale or Brawl Stars.
What happens to gems, events and purchase transfers?
Remaining Squad Busters items and currency will no longer have a playable game to be used in once the servers close. Supercell also says all remaining events and timers end on 14 December. Finish anything you particularly want to enjoy before the Squad Busters shutdown date, rather than expecting unclaimed event progress to remain available.
In-app purchases stopped on 30 October 2025. There was once a scheme allowing eligible players to request that the value of certain 2025 purchases be transferred to another Supercell game, but that application window ended at the end of 2025. There is no new transfer deadline attached to the December 2026 shutdown.

Can you play Squad Busters offline or on private servers?
No. Supercell explicitly rules out offline play and community private servers after closure. It won’t release the game’s code for fans to run their own version either. Keeping an old app file won’t replace the online service.
