Manor Lords 0.8.117 reached the default Steam branch on 31 October 2026. The update brings six Rural Foundations perks, a Fishmonger artisan, a Dunghill for Fertilizer and new rules for growing crops. These systems had been in beta testing and are now available in the regular PC version.
There is plenty for established settlements to get used to. Fields have a different planting calendar, rotation is always enabled, and animal dung becomes a useful farming resource. Here are the main changes and what they mean when you’re managing a town.
Manor Lords 0.8.117 patch notes and stable release

Slavic Magic announced the promotion to Steam’s default branch on 31 October. The release brings the beta changes to standard PC installations without needing a separate testing branch. Manor Lords 0.8.117 is a game update, not an announcement of an unconfirmed console release date.
The development and farming changes work together. Development perks improve specific industries; new buildings give you additional products; and field rules determine which crops workers can plant during different parts of the year. It is worth checking all three before trying to copy an older settlement setup.
Rural Foundations in Manor Lords 0.8.117
The new Rural Foundations category unlocks at Settlement Level 3. Its six perks are Experienced Forestry, Woodland Beekeeping, Fish Husbandry, Livestock Provisioning, Practical Tillage and Pastoral Practice. They support wood processing, seasonal beekeeping, fishing, meat production, arable farming and pasture management.
Some add named upgrades: Tight-Sealing for the Charcoal Kiln, Zeidler’s Hut for beekeeping, Butcher’s Gantry, Cobbled Threshing Floor and Stone-Lined Pit. Our Rural Foundations guide covers all six bonuses and the confirmed percentages.
Manor Lords 0.8.117 Dunghill and Fertilizer
The new Dunghill employs families as Dung Collectors. They gather Dung from pasture animals and produce Fertilizer, storing both resources at the Dunghill rather than an ordinary Granary or Storehouse. Animals contribute at different rates, depending on the species.
Farmhouse workers apply Fertilizer to fallow land during summer. The treatment raises a field’s maximum fertility for a little over two years, separate from the ordinary fertility recovered when land rests. Our Dunghill fertilizer guide explains the workers, storage rules and timing.
Fishmonger: Smoked Fish from Fish and Salt
Manor Lords 0.8.117 adds a Fishmonger artisan, which uses Fish and Salt to produce Smoked Fish. It is a processing profession, not a new way to catch fish. The patch notes establish the ingredients, but not a reliable universal recipe ratio or processing duration.
Fish Husbandry boosts Fishmonger efficiency by 25%, raises shoal capacity by 15% and allows winter fishing. Fish reproduction is halved, however, with reproduction permitted through spring, summer and autumn. See our Fishmonger guide for the supply chain and perk trade-off.
Crop rotation in Manor Lords 0.8.117
Wheat and rye are winter crops, although you can sow either in spring for a quicker return with a lower yield. Flax, barley and oats are spring-only crops. A redesigned field interface shows the next twelve months of activity, making the seasonal differences easier to plan around.
Rotation is now always on. Fields rotate on 1 September if there is nothing harvestable, after harvesting completes, or on 1 November for crops that died without being harvested. Unharvested crops in October instead lose yield gradually, giving workers some time to save the crop.
Manor Lords 0.8.117 also allows fields with a crop selected but nothing planted to recover fertility as if fallow. Most fallow recovery builds later in the yearly cycle. Read our crop rotation guide to understand why a field may wait for its spring planting window.
Manor Lords 0.8.117 balance changes and fixes
The balance changes are measurable: crops grow 2.4% more slowly, rye yield is up 7%, and fallow fields recover fertility at a significantly lower rate. The stable patch also fixes some problems with farm-worker transport, animal collection and production limits.
For returning players, Manor Lords 0.8.117 is a sizeable rural-economy update. Check the field calendar first, then decide whether your town benefits more from the new Fishmonger, extra Fertilizer or the Rural Foundations perks. All of those additions are included in the stable Steam version.
