Loftia crossplay has not been confirmed for its November 3, 2026 Early Access launch. Qloud Games says cross-platform play is a goal, but it is still researching and testing the feature. What is confirmed is that the cosy online game launches on Windows PC and supported Macs through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Loftia has multiplayer, but that doesn’t automatically mean every storefront or device will be able to join the same session. Qloud Games is still testing cross-platform connections, so the distinction matters if you and your friends are buying on different systems.
Is Loftia crossplay available between Steam and Epic?

Loftia crossplay is still under investigation according to the official FAQ. That applies even though Steam and Epic Games Store are both named as launch stores. Listing a game in two stores does not guarantee that their player accounts will join the same servers.
Qloud Games has confirmed that Loftia has multiplayer servers. Friends need to be on the same server to meet, and the developer says characters are not permanently tied to one server. However, those details do not answer the question of Loftia crossplay across stores or consoles.
Loftia platforms, Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch
The November Early Access release covers Windows computers and Macs with compatible Apple Silicon. Steam and Epic Games Store are confirmed distribution platforms. The studio has targeted Nintendo Switch for 2027, but has not given a month, a firm date or a separate Switch 2 release announcement.
| Platform | Release position |
|---|---|
| Windows PC | November 3 Early Access |
| Mac with Apple Silicon | November 3 Early Access |
| Steam and Epic Games Store | Confirmed PC and Mac storefronts |
| Nintendo Switch | Planned during 2027 |
| Steam Deck | Developer says supported; Valve compatibility status Unknown |
Switch is a separate release, currently planned for 2027. No confirmed date or crossplay arrangement has been announced for Nintendo players.
Qloud Games says you need to buy Loftia separately for each platform you intend to use. There is no confirmed cross-buy scheme. Players should check the store they intend to use rather than assuming a Steam purchase includes the Epic or future Nintendo version.
Does Loftia support Steam Deck and controllers?
The developers say Loftia is playable with a controller or gamepad as well as keyboard and mouse. They also describe it as supported on Steam Deck. Steam’s own compatibility badge may still read Unknown, which is a separate Valve classification rather than proof that the developer withdrew its support claim.
Steam Deck is a handheld PC. Being able to play on it with a controller doesn’t settle Loftia crossplay between Steam, Epic and the future Switch version.
Can Windows PCs and Macs run the same version?
Both operating systems are included in the launch plan. Windows minimum requirements include Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i3-10100F or Ryzen 3 3100, 8GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 560 and 10GB of free storage. A broadband internet connection is required.
For Mac, the minimum is macOS 14 Sonoma on an Apple M2 with 8GB memory and 10GB storage. Intel Macs are not supported. Those are hardware requirements, not evidence that Loftia crossplay between every operating system and storefront combination has been settled.
What about cross-progression and shared purchases?
Loftia crossplay and cross-progression are two different things. Qloud Games has confirmed carryover from the October Steam Next Fest demo into Early Access, including progress and character names. It has not published an equivalent guarantee that future purchases across different stores and consoles will share the same saved progression.
Loftia is designed for online play, even if you choose to spend time farming, crafting or decorating alone. There is no offline mode in the FAQ, and the studio says Switch players will require Nintendo Switch Online for the planned version. That is another reason to check your intended setup before buying.
For now, Loftia crossplay remains a goal rather than a promised launch feature. If playing with someone on a different storefront is essential, check the developer’s FAQ for its eventual decision before buying.
