Loftia demo progress transfer is confirmed for the game’s November 3, 2026 Early Access release. Qloud Games says gameplay progress and character names from the October Steam Next Fest trial carry over, so people who started their adventure during the demo do not automatically have to begin again.
The character-name deadline matters if you picked a name you want to keep. If you don’t log into Early Access during the three months ending February 3, 2027, somebody else could claim it. Qloud Games has not said that saved character progress will be deleted.
How Loftia demo progress transfer works

The developer confirmed that the October 19 to 26 demo was a preview of the wider game and that progress would follow players into the paid version. The demo covered Loftia City and the beginning of its storyline, along with farming, decorating, salvaging resources, sharing, socialising and adventures.
Loftia demo progress transfer concerns the progress made in that specific promotional trial. It does not say you can automatically combine unrelated game accounts, nor does it establish transfer between every possible storefront. Use the account you played on originally when you return on November 3.
Loftia demo progress transfer and the February 3 deadline
Here are the dates that matter for returning players. The second date is the paid launch; the last date affects name availability only.
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| October 19 to 26, 2026 | Steam Next Fest demo available for a limited period |
| November 3, 2026 | Loftia enters paid Early Access at 6pm GMT in the UK |
| February 3, 2027 | Unused demo character-name reservations become available to others if the player has not logged in during the three-month window |
February 3 is the end of the name-reservation window, not an announced save wipe. Log into Early Access during that period if keeping your demo name matters to you.
What should you do when Loftia launches?
Buy the Early Access edition through one of the supported stores, sign in through the account you previously used, and look for your existing character before making a new one. The launch is set for 1pm EST, equivalent to 6pm GMT on November 3. You do not need to rush to sign in during the first hour, but you should enter the paid game during the three-month reservation period if keeping your name matters to you.
Qloud Games hasn’t described a manual import process. Start by signing in with the account you played the demo on. If the character is missing, contact official game support before moving or deleting any files.
Will everything from the demo be available again?
The game is expanding beyond the demo’s opening location. Early Access covers Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens and the Gridfall, with wider story progression, skill perks, customisable islands, pets, community farming and adventure islands. Some of those activities were not included in the Next Fest build, so carrying over progress is not the same as having already unlocked everything in the launch version.
The Loftia demo progress transfer promise covers gameplay progress and character names, but doesn’t list every individual decorative item or reward. You shouldn’t need to alter files or attempt a separate Steam Cloud conversion without official instructions.
Does the transfer work between Steam, Epic and Switch?
The confirmed platform plans are Steam and Epic Games Store on Windows and Mac at Early Access launch, with a Nintendo Switch release targeted for 2027. Qloud Games is still researching crossplay and says players must purchase separately on each platform. There is no published step-by-step account-linking process that establishes demo save transfer between independent storefront accounts.
If you played the Steam Next Fest build, returning through the same account is the straightforward option. Moving between stores or buying a future Switch edition is a separate question from the announced Loftia demo progress transfer between the October trial and its November Early Access successor.
For October demo players, Loftia demo progress transfer is confirmed. Just remember to sign into Early Access by February 3, 2027, to protect a name claimed during the trial.
