Honkai Star Rail Pearl is officially becoming playable in Version 4.6 as a five-star Ice character following the Path of Elation. The IPC executive and member of the Ten Stonehearts has already played an important role in the Planarcadia storyline, and HoYoverse has now confirmed that she will join the playable roster in the next update.
Pearl was revealed through official drip marketing ahead of Version 4.6. Although her update has been confirmed, HoYoverse has not yet announced the exact date or phase for her limited Character Event Warp.
Honkai Star Rail Pearl Release Date
The Honkai Star Rail Pearl release date will fall during Version 4.6.
HoYoverse has officially confirmed Pearl as a Version 4.6 character, but her exact banner date has not yet been announced. The complete Version 4.6 banner schedule is expected to be revealed during the update’s Special Program.
Version 4.5 launched on August 26, 2026 and is running on a shorter schedule than a standard six-week Honkai Star Rail update. Based on the current version timetable, Version 4.6 is expected around the end of September, but players should wait for HoYoverse’s official announcement before treating a specific date as confirmed.
Pearl is currently the only new five-star character officially revealed for Version 4.6.
What Element Is Pearl in Honkai Star Rail?
Honkai Star Rail Pearl uses the Ice element.
This was confirmed alongside her playable reveal and replaces earlier speculation surrounding what element the Ten Stoneheart would eventually use.
Ice characters can inflict Weakness Break against enemies vulnerable to the element and can Freeze enemies when triggering an Ice Weakness Break.
Exactly how heavily Pearl’s individual gameplay will depend on Ice damage will become clearer once HoYoverse provides her complete official combat kit.
What Path Does Pearl Follow?
Pearl follows the Path of Elation.
That makes Honkai Star Rail Pearl part of the expanding Elation roster rather than a Preservation character, despite the defensive imagery and themes previously associated with her.
The Elation Path became a playable combat Path as Honkai Star Rail expanded beyond its original collection of character roles.
Pearl’s official reveal confirms her rarity, element and Path as:
| Pearl Detail | Confirmed Information |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Five-star |
| Element | Ice |
| Path | Elation |
| Version | 4.6 |
| Affiliation | IPC / Ten Stonehearts |
| Role | CEO of Planarcadia |
HoYoverse has not yet provided the complete final details of Pearl’s playable abilities through the Version 4.6 Special Program, so information about specific skill multipliers and builds should be treated separately from what has officially been confirmed.
Who Is Pearl in Honkai Star Rail?
Honkai Star Rail Pearl is one of the Ten Stonehearts within the Interastral Peace Corporation.
She works in the IPC’s Strategic Investment Department as an artwork investment specialist and also serves as the current CEO of Planarcadia.
Players have already encountered Pearl through the wider Honkai Star Rail story before her playable debut. Her position within both the IPC and Planarcadia makes her particularly important to the ongoing storyline surrounding the planet and the Astral Express Crew’s dealings with the corporation.
Pearl also joins a growing collection of playable Ten Stonehearts.
Topaz, Aventurine and Jade have all previously become playable, with Pearl now set to become another member of the powerful IPC group available to obtain.
Is Pearl a Five-Star Character?
Yes. Honkai Star Rail Pearl is officially confirmed as a five-star character.
Her limited availability means players interested in obtaining Pearl should start preparing Stellar Jade and Special Passes ahead of Version 4.6.
The current Version 4.5 events provide several opportunities to build up Stellar Jade before Pearl arrives, including Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix, which offers a substantial collection of limited-time rewards.
Players can also save Stellar Jade earned through daily training, Simulated Universe activities, endgame modes, events and redeemable Honkai Star Rail codes.
When Will the Pearl Banner Be Confirmed?
More information about the Honkai Star Rail Pearl banner should arrive during the Version 4.6 Special Program.
HoYoverse traditionally uses these livestreams to reveal the complete banner schedule, events, new story content and other major additions arriving with the next update.
Until that broadcast takes place, Pearl’s exact banner phase and release time remain unconfirmed.
What is already official is that Honkai Star Rail Pearl will be a five-star Ice Elation character arriving as part of Version 4.6.
With Pearl finally becoming playable and the Planarcadia storyline continuing, she is currently one of the biggest confirmed additions coming in the next Honkai Star Rail update.
