Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2 arrives on 11 November 2026 as Voyage Into the Canvas. HoYoverse has announced a substantial refresh of the permanent mode, with a new Starfroster-inspired theme and changes to its seasonal characters and Bonds.
If you played Zero-Sum Game, the important question is what happens to that season’s rewards and the team combinations you relied on. Here’s what the publisher has revealed and what to check before the new season starts.
Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2: Release date and new season name
| Season information | Confirmed details |
|---|---|
| Season 1 | Zero-Sum Game |
| Season 2 | Voyage Into the Canvas |
| Start | Version 4.7, 11 November |
| Theme | Comics based on the Starfroster adventure |
| Gameplay | Refreshed seasonal characters and Bonds |

Voyage Into the Canvas begins with Version 4.7, Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars. Currency Wars remains a permanent activity, but its second season brings a new themed version of the mode.
The new season begins after the update, not on a separate date in the October announcement. HoYoverse’s dedicated highlights page is the official place to check for further rules as launch approaches.
What is Voyage Into the Canvas?
The theme turns the Starfroster adventure into a comic. HoYoverse describes the Strategic Investment Department using a newly updated Currency Wars system to present the journey aboard the ship as illustrated stories.
That comic presentation is part of the new season’s look and framing. It doesn’t turn the combat activity into a drawing editor or require you to make artwork yourself.
Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2: Changes from Zero-Sum Game
The outgoing season is called Zero-Sum Game. Version 4.7 refreshes the characters and Bonds used within Currency Wars, making it worth looking at new team combinations instead of expecting last season’s exact strategy to play the same way.
The seasonal roster is separate from your characters obtained through regular Event Warps. A new Currency Wars character pool does not delete units you’ve collected on your account.
Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2: Characters and Bonds in the new mode
The version presentation highlights refreshed characters and Bonds. Those systems shape how teams work within Currency Wars, so players returning for Season 2 should inspect the new options before choosing a strategy.
The detailed battle bonuses are best checked against the final in-game descriptions. The confirmed new season and the changed roster are enough to start planning without assigning made-up numerical bonuses to individual Bonds.
Claim Zero-Sum Game rewards before the update
Before 11 November, open the existing Zero-Sum Game season and collect any rewards you’ve already completed. This is the part you can act on now instead of waiting for the new season’s opening day.
Check the live reward panel for outstanding objectives or claims. HoYoverse has not provided a single verified deadline for every individual Zero-Sum Game claim in its introductory highlights post.
What happens to existing progress?
Currency Wars itself continues as a permanent mode. The new season replaces the active seasonal content, while your main Honkai: Star Rail character roster remains separate.
The new character and Bond combinations will need fresh strategies. A specific old reward, history entry or seasonal unlock should only be described as carrying over if the final mode notice explicitly says so.
Currency Wars versus other 4.7 events
The Fluffy Movie: Overheated is a dessert-shop event; Interastral Peace Gala: Road to Fame is a new combat event. Currency Wars is the permanent mode receiving its second season, not either of those time-limited activities.
The Phantasia Showstage outfit draw is separate too. It uses Fashion Invites for a chance at Aha’s Star Lotto costume. Our outfit guide covers the free first draw and maximum cost.
Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2: Where Season 2 fits in the new story
The Starfroster is central to Version 4.7’s Planarcadia finale, where Aha brings together eight Supplicants to stop the Voracity. Voyage Into the Canvas draws on the same adventure for its season theme.
The Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars season 2 update provides a fresh reason to revisit the mode when 4.7 launches. For the story, new character and event lineup, see our Version 4.7 overview.
