Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star reward starts with Version 4.7 on 11 November 2026. You can choose one limited five-star from Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan. HoYoverse also includes a separate choice of one Affinitive Eidolon.
This is a character selector, not a random pull. You can plan your decision around the Paths and elements you need, but remember that Aeon ★ Aha is not among the three free options.
Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star: Which three characters can you choose?
| Free character | Element | Path |
|---|---|---|
| Acheron | Lightning | Nihility |
| Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae | Imaginary | Destruction |
| Jing Yuan | Lightning | Erudition |
HoYoverse is offering one character from Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan. All are limited five-stars who also return on the second-half rerun banners, but the promotional selection is separate from those paid Event Warps.
Your chosen character comes with materials intended to raise them to Level 60. You receive one of the three listed characters, not all three, so it pays to check your existing roster first.
Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star: Claim date, deadline and requirement
The publisher’s Grab Your Opening Gifts announcement lists collection from the 11 November 2026 update until 23 December 2026 at 05:59 UTC+8. The stated participation requirement is Trailblaze Level 4 or higher.
The event closes on 23 December at 05:59 UTC+8, which is 22 December at 21:59 GMT in the UK. Trailblaze Level 4 is the stated entry requirement. Don’t leave your selection until the UK evening of 23 December.
Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star: Acheron: Lightning Nihility
Acheron is a Lightning character on the Path of Nihility. She is one of the three eligible choices and also receives an Affinitive Eidolon enhancement in Version 4.7.
Acheron is a good choice to consider if you’re missing a Lightning Nihility character and want to build around her existing playstyle. Her new Affinitive Eidolon is a separate reward decision.
Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae: Imaginary Destruction
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is an Imaginary character on the Path of Destruction. Version 4.7 offers both his free base-character selection and an eligible Affinitive Eidolon upgrade connected to his Squama Sacrosancta playstyle.
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae fills an Imaginary Destruction role. If your account already has strong Lightning damage options but lacks Imaginary coverage, that is worth weighing against the other two picks.
Jing Yuan: Lightning Erudition
Jing Yuan is a Lightning Erudition character known for his Lightning-Lord attacks. HoYoverse includes him in the free selection and as one of the first characters supported by the new Affinitive Eidolon system.
Jing Yuan is a Lightning Erudition character with Lightning-Lord follow-up attacks. His new Affinitive Eidolon also focuses on Lightning-Lord, making him relevant to returning players as well as first-time owners.
Free character and Affinitive Eidolon are different rewards
The event benefits include a free choice of one eligible five-star character and a separate selected Affinitive Eidolon. An Affinitive Eidolon unlocks additional abilities and artwork for an eligible character you own; it is not another base five-star character card.
Both selections are separate: one awards the chosen character and the other unlocks an Affinitive Eidolon for an eligible owned character. An Affinitive Eidolon is an upgrade, not another base five-star character.
Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star: How to claim after the 4.7 update
Reach at least Trailblaze Level 4, install the version after the 11 November maintenance, and locate the publisher’s Grab Your Opening Gifts promotion in the live game. Review the selection and the included materials before confirming your choice.
Once Version 4.7 is live, reach Trailblaze Level 4 and open the Grab Your Opening Gifts event. Check the selected character and included materials before confirming. The exact button labels should follow the live event screen.
What to do before choosing
Check which of the three characters is missing from your collection, which Path or element your teams need, and whether you want to use the new Affinitive Eidolon later. The second-half banners also feature these characters, but the free gift is a separate way to obtain one.
For the Honkai Star Rail 4.7 free five-star, choose the character who fills the biggest gap in your roster. Our banner guide shows the second-half reruns, while the Affinitive Eidolon guide explains the separate upgrade reward.
