Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon: Eligible Characters and How It Works

Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon arrives with Version 4.7 on 11 November 2026. The new system adds a combat ability and exclusive artwork for Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan, giving owners of those characters another way to improve them.

These are upgrades for existing characters, not three new characters you have to summon. HoYoverse is also giving players one Affinitive Eidolon selection, separately from its free five-star character choice.

Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon: What the new upgrade does

Affinitive Eidolons are a new character-enhancement system arriving in Version 4.7 on 11 November 2026. Rather than being the same as unlocking a normal Eidolon with another character copy, they provide an additional ability and a new character illustration to eligible owned characters.

All three characters need to be owned before their Affinitive Eidolons can be used. The new abilities are additional enhancements, not a replacement for the normal Eidolon copies a player may already have unlocked.

Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon: Acheron’s Affinitive Eidolon

Acheron’s upgrade builds on her Crimson Knot mechanic. The developer has previewed changes to her combat behaviour designed to give this existing Lightning Nihility character another way to contribute.

Acheron’s enhanced kit builds on Crimson Knot. What matters for an existing owner is the new combat interaction rather than a claim that her older teams or relics have suddenly become useless.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and Squama Sacrosancta

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is the second eligible character. His enhancement relates to the Squama Sacrosancta system that already shapes his Imaginary Destruction playstyle.

The new benefit belongs to the Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae you already own. It enhances his Squama Sacrosancta-based combat rather than unlocking another playable version of him.

Jing Yuan’s Lightning-Lord enhancement

Jing Yuan is the third launch recipient, with a preview focused on his Lightning-Lord follow-up attack mechanic. That gives players an official reason to revisit him in 4.7 despite his long history as a playable character.

Jing Yuan’s upgrade focuses on Lightning-Lord. Existing players should check how the released version changes its follow-up attacks, since the final skill text is more useful than unfinished test percentages.

Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon: How to get an Affinitive Eidolon

HoYoverse’s 4.7 promotional programme includes a free selection of one Affinitive Eidolon tied to the new gift benefits. It is a separate decision from the free character selection, even though both feature Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan.

HoYoverse has announced a separate Resonance system: eligible use of Star Rail Special Passes or Stellar Jade in Phantasia Showstage can earn Resonance towards additional Affinitive Eidolons. The event’s own exchange rules determine how much each action contributes.

Free character versus free upgrade

The free five-star character is one of Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan, with levelling materials. The Affinitive Eidolon choice is a different benefit, so you can consider your roster and desired enhancement independently.

For example, an account missing one of those characters has a different decision to make than an account that already owns all three. Our free five-star selection guide explains the eligible characters and official claim period.

When the new system goes live

HoYoverse says Affinitive Eidolons arrive after the Version 4.7 update on 11 November. The initial three are confirmed; other characters or future acquisition routes are not something to add to the launch list without their own official announcement.

The Honkai Star Rail Affinitive Eidolon system is available from the 11 November update. Aha is a separate new five-star, while Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan are the first three upgrade recipients. The banner guide shows their rerun schedule.
