Genshin Impact: How to play ‘Charity and Creativity’ from the ‘Of Ballads and Brews’ event

Charity and Creativity is one of the sub-events from the Of Ballads and Brews, the flagship event of Genshin Impact 3.1. During this phase or sub-event, you will be helping the Knights of Favonius manage a store and get as much revenue for charity purposes as you can.
There are quite a lot of terms to understand and things to do in Charity and Creativity, and you might get overwhelmed with all of the information before even beginning. However, it can actually be fun once you get the hang of it. Most importantly, you’ll get rewards in the end, which include Festive Fever points that you can exchange for the new free weapon, Missive Windspear, and its refinement material.

How to unlock Charity and Creativity in Genshin Impact
To play Charity and Creativity, you must first unlock it by taking the world quest Charity Event? Securing Funds?. If you need help with bargaining in the said quest or how to unlock it, check out our Charity Event? Securing Funds? guide here. Once done, you can proceed to the two (2) phases in this sub-event. The first is Secure Funds. The second is Manage Shop.

How to Secure Funds in Charity and Creativity
You can secure funds in Charity and Creativity by (1) helping foreign clients complete their orders and by (2) selling wine ingredients to merchants.
Aside from the client that you previously helped in Charity Event? Securing Funds?, you’ll need to help two (2) more clients from Liyue. For guidance, you can set the quest marker by going to the Paimon Menu > Events > Of Ballads and Brews > Event Details > Charity and Creativity > Secure Funds > Go. Simply follow the quest markers to know the next location that you need to go to.
While helping foreign clients complete their orders, you can bargain with sellers to get some extra funds for setting up your charity stall.
For Diane from The Cat’s Tail, our recommended offer is 14,000 Mora. Diane will say that it will take a small loss but will accept it, anyway. On the other hand, for Georg from Angel’s Share, our recommendation is 21,500 Mora. He will comment that you drive a hard bargain and proceeds with the transaction.
Now that you are done helping foreign clients complete their orders, you can start selling wine ingredients to merchants. You can do this by talking to Diane and Georg. Here, you can sell all the ingredients on both shops’ lists. The maximum you can sell is five (5) per ingredient.

After selling the ingredients, the Securing Funds phase will be completed. There will be a cutscene here which will complete the quest called Favonius Goodies. Afterwards, you will be able to Manage Shop.
How to Manage Shop in Charity and Creativity
You can Manage Shop in Charity and Creativity by talking to Berhard.
You also have the option to customize your shop according to your liking. The furnishing that you can use here are the gifts from the Fecund Blessings sub-event.
When you ask Bernhard how the shop is doing, you will be able to see the charity stall settings. Here, you must allot funds for each component before you click “Open for Business” for each cycle.
There are three (3) components in the stall’s settings, these are Product Quality, Business Efficiency, and Holistic Service. In each cycle, there is a target indicated by the markers. Reach each target by allocating funds to increase your income. If, in any way, one component exceeds the target, you will get bonus earnings. However, you should prioritize allotting the funds according to your target in each cycle.
Along the way, you will encounter Emergencies and Unexpected Situations. To deal with these issues, you can equip/change your Shop Strategems. The Shop Strategems can be unlocked when the Emergency after Customer Cycle 3 is completed.
In case you are running out of funds to achieve your targets, you can use these Shop Strategems or ask an in-game friend for help. However, note that your friend’s help will only last for one Customer Cycle and has a cooldown of two (2) such cycles.
Of course, your in-game friends can also ask help from you. To set what kind of help you can provide to them, click/press Customer Cycle.
