The Fortnite Headshot Sprite is one of the new Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites currently hidden in the game files, and unlike several of the other leaked additions, Headshot already appears to have a Gold variant prepared alongside its standard form. The Sprite was discovered in the same batch as Meowscles, Cube, Squibbly, Overshield and the codenamed BodySlam collab Sprite.

What makes this leak particularly interesting for collectors is that both the standard Headshot Sprite and Gold Headshot Sprite already appear in the datamined information.
What is the Fortnite Headshot Sprite?
The Fortnite Headshot Sprite is an upcoming Sprite discovered in the Chapter 7 Season 4 files by dataminers.
The leaked group includes Meowscles, BodySlam, Cube, Headshot, Squibbly and Overshield. Headshot stands out because the leak specifically identifies both Headshot and Headshot Gold, while some of the other new Sprites were only listed in their standard form.
That gives us strong evidence that Headshot is intended to join the Override Sprite collection with at least one special variant available alongside it.
It is not currently part of the live Sprite pool.
Is there a Gold Headshot Sprite?
Yes, a Gold Headshot Sprite appears alongside the standard Fortnite Headshot Sprite in the leaked Chapter 7 Season 4 data.
That is one of the clearest details we currently have about Headshot.
Gold Sprites are among the rarer collectible forms in Fortnite’s Sprite system, and Chapter 7 Season 4 continues to use Gold variants alongside its newer special forms. Current Fortnite data already shows Gold Sprites active in Override, while additional variants are expected throughout the season.
Headshot therefore looks set to launch with more than one collectible version.
The exact odds or method for obtaining Gold Headshot have not yet surfaced.
When is the Fortnite Headshot Sprite coming out?
There is currently no confirmed Fortnite Headshot Sprite release date.
The Sprite is present in leaked Season 4 data, but Epic has not attached it to a particular update or New Sprite Day.
Override is designed around a continually expanding Sprite collection rather than a single launch-day set. New Sprites, powers and variants are being introduced throughout the season, which gives Epic plenty of opportunities to activate Headshot later.
Until Headshot appears in the live collection or Epic announces it directly, there is no reliable date for its release.
How do you get the Headshot Sprite in Fortnite?
There is currently no confirmed method for getting the Fortnite Headshot Sprite.
Chapter 7 Season 4 changed how players collect Sprites, with Cheat Codes now playing a major role in finding and freeing them during Battle Royale matches. Some special Sprites and variants can also be unlocked through Lobby Hacks or other specific requirements.
Headshot could eventually enter the standard Sprite pool, appear through Cheat Codes or use a more specific unlock method.
No Headshot Lobby Hack code has been discovered so far, and there is no confirmed location that guarantees the Sprite.
How do you get Gold Headshot Sprite?
The Gold Headshot Sprite is also not obtainable yet.
Its presence in the leaked data confirms that Epic has prepared a Gold version of Headshot, but there is currently no information revealing whether it will be found randomly, tied to a Lobby Hack or unlocked through another requirement.
Gold variants are normally much harder to obtain than their standard counterparts, although Override has already shown that Epic is willing to make some Gold Sprites available through special codes and limited releases.
That means Gold Headshot could eventually follow several different routes.
Until it becomes active, there is no legitimate guaranteed method for obtaining it.
What does the Fortnite Headshot Sprite do?
The Fortnite Headshot Sprite ability has not been revealed.
The name immediately suggests a possible weapon or accuracy-related ability, but there is no reliable information confirming that yet.
Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites can provide substantial gameplay benefits while being carried. Current abilities include mobility bonuses, weapon-related effects and other passive advantages, with Epic confirming that Override introduces a new generation of Sprite powers.
Until Headshot’s actual ability appears in the files or is revealed by Epic, its name alone is not enough to determine what it will do.
Will the Headshot Sprite have other variants?
Only the standard Fortnite Headshot Sprite and Gold Headshot Sprite are currently identified in the leak.
This is slightly different from Squibbly and Overshield, which are specifically described as having all variants available in the files.
That suggests Headshot may initially have more limited variant support.
Chapter 7 Season 4 is still expected to expand its variant lineup significantly, however, with existing forms such as Gold, Gummy and Holofoil returning alongside newer variants.
It is therefore possible that additional Headshot forms could appear later even though only Gold has surfaced so far.
Is Headshot Sprite available now?
No. The Fortnite Headshot Sprite remains an unreleased Sprite found through datamining.
Neither the normal Headshot Sprite nor Gold Headshot has been added to the live collection as of August 24.
For now, players can continue collecting the Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites already available while waiting for Epic’s next Sprite rollout.
Headshot is particularly worth watching because we already know it is being prepared with a Gold counterpart. Once the Sprite goes live, that immediately gives collectors at least two new entries to hunt rather than just one.
