The Fortnite Meowscles Sprite looks set to become another new collectible during Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. The upcoming Sprite has appeared in newly surfaced game data alongside several other additions, including the Cube, Headshot, Squibbly, Overshield and currently codenamed BodySlam Sprites.

Is the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite real?

The Fortnite Meowscles Sprite has been reported by multiple established Fortnite leakers after information about upcoming Sprites surfaced from the game.
It appears alongside five other upcoming additions: Cube Sprite, Headshot Sprite, Squibbly Sprite, Overshield Sprite and a Sprite currently referred to as BodySlam. Headshot is also reported to have a Gold version, while Squibbly and Overshield are currently associated with broader variant sets.
The important distinction is that Epic Games has not officially announced the Meowscles Sprite yet.
That means its inclusion should still be treated as leaked information until Fortnite reveals the Sprite itself or activates it in-game. The information coming from the files makes its arrival considerably more substantial than a simple rumour, but an exact release date and full gameplay details have not been confirmed.

When is the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite coming out?
There is currently no confirmed Fortnite Meowscles Sprite release date.
Chapter 7 Season 4 launched on August 20 with a new generation of Sprites, and Epic has already established that the Override collection will continue expanding as the season progresses.
The next major Sprite date we already know about is August 27, when another New Sprite Day is expected to bring additional additions and Cheat Master variants into the season. However, there is currently no confirmation that Meowscles is part of that particular release.
That distinction matters because several Sprites are already scheduled or expected for different points throughout Override. Finding the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite in the files tells us it is being prepared for the season, but it does not tell us exactly which update or Sprite release will activate it.
What does the Meowscles Sprite do in Fortnite?
The ability attached to the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite has not yet been revealed.
Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites can provide their own gameplay effects while equipped, with different Sprites offering different advantages as they are levelled and mastered.
There have been fan-made Meowscles Sprite concepts in the past, including entries created during Fortnite’s Design-A-Sprite period, but these should not be confused with the newly leaked Sprite. Abilities suggested by players for those concepts do not confirm what Epic’s actual Meowscles Sprite will do.
Until its gameplay data or official description is revealed, any specific ability attributed to Meowscles would be speculation.
Will the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite have variants?
Variants for the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite have not been confirmed in the information currently available.
That is notable because the same leak specifically identifies broader variant support for some of the other upcoming Sprites. Squibbly and Overshield are reported to support their full sets of variants, while a Gold Headshot Sprite has appeared alongside the standard Headshot Sprite.
Meowscles was listed simply as Meowscles.
That does not necessarily mean it will have no variants. Chapter 7 Season 4 continues to use special Sprite forms, including Gold and Cheat Master versions, and Epic has already confirmed that Override features a new generation of Sprites and variants.
For now, however, only the standard Fortnite Meowscles Sprite should be considered part of the leak.

How will the Meowscles Sprite fit into Chapter 7 Season 4?
Sprites have a much larger role in Fortnite Override than simply being another collectible to discover.
The season introduced a completely new generation of Sprites while preserving players’ older Chapter 7 Season 3 collections through the Sprite Garden. Newly collected Sprites are added to the collection, can be levelled and mastered, and feed into the wider Sprite Dust and Loot Hack progression running throughout Season 4.
Finding and collecting Sprites therefore contributes to much more than filling another space in the collection.
The Fortnite Meowscles Sprite should become another character to hunt once it is activated, although its exact method of acquisition has not been revealed. Override has introduced several different ways for Sprites to become available, so it is too early to say whether Meowscles will simply enter the normal Sprite pool or have a more specific unlock requirement.
Is the Meowscles Sprite part of Design-A-Sprite?
There were multiple fan-created Meowscles concepts submitted and shared during the Design-A-Sprite competition, but there is currently no indication that the leaked Fortnite Meowscles Sprite is one of the official contest winners.
Epic has already announced the five Design-A-Sprite winners: Bullet Sprite, Dumpster Dive Sprite, Honey Sprite, Pond Sprite and X-Ray Sprite.
Meowscles is therefore separate from that winning group.
Its appearance among the latest leaked Season 4 Sprite data instead suggests Epic is expanding the Override collection with additional Fortnite characters alongside the community-designed winners and collaboration Sprites.
What other new Sprites are coming to Fortnite?
The same information that revealed the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite also points towards a sizeable expansion of the Chapter 7 Season 4 collection.
Cube, Headshot, Squibbly, Overshield and BodySlam are all currently listed as upcoming Sprites. Squibbly is particularly interesting because the character previously appeared as a Fortnite Outfit, much like Meowscles, while Cube appears to continue Fortnite’s habit of turning familiar pieces of its own history into collectible Sprites.
Epic has already confirmed that Season 4 will continue introducing new Sprites throughout Override, so the current launch collection is clearly not the final lineup.
For now, the Fortnite Meowscles Sprite is best considered an upcoming leaked Sprite with no confirmed release date or ability. Its presence in the latest leak gives collectors another addition to watch for as Chapter 7 Season 4 continues to expand.
