Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact: Divine Sense Compass and Swords and Secrets Guide

Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact is the repeated objective inside the seven-day Swords and Secrets World Quest. The reliable method is to use Vesna’s Divine Sense Compass to mark the roaming area, travel to the highlighted zone, then use the special sensing interaction the quest provides until the Sword Spirit encounter becomes visible.

The reason Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact keeps generating searches is that the target changes across the multi-day chain. The wording stays similar while the actual encounter progresses from one Sword Spirit to another, so an old map location from the previous day can send you to the wrong place.

How to Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact

1. Open Swords and Secrets from the quest or event interface.
2. Use the Divine Sense Compass and choose the option to sense the Sword Spirit.
3. Open the map and travel to the newly highlighted search area instead of returning to yesterday’s location.
4. Enter the zone and follow the special sensing prompt or trial-Vesna guidance.
5. Re-use the quest ability when prompted until the trail leads to the Sword Spirit.
6. Complete the encounter and wait for the next-day timer if the quest stops afterward.

For Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact, the Divine Sense Compass is more important than memorising coordinates. The World Quest is explicitly built around repeated hunts, so the active quest state should determine which search zone appears.

Why the Sword Spirit marker is not where you expected

Swords and Secrets advances one encounter at a time across seven calendar days. Once you finish a Spirit, the quest waits before opening the next hunt. If you are following a video or screenshot from another day, the location may simply belong to a different chapter.

Use our Swords and Secrets unlock guide to confirm where you are in the chain. If the next chapter itself is missing, the Swords and Secrets not unlocking guide covers the timer and prerequisite checks.

What happens on Day 4

During the Day 4 section, Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact leads into the Master of Artifacts encounter. The quest data for this chapter lists the familiar Compass search, the “go to where you can start looking” step, the Sword Spirit discovery, a fight against the Master of Artifacts and a final conversation with the Spirit.

The dedicated Swords and Secrets Day 4 guide keeps those steps separate from the general Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact troubleshooting page.

Can you skip the daily wait?

No normal in-game clock change bypasses the real progression gate used by Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact. HoYoverse states that the full Swords and Secrets chain takes seven calendar days, and the game displays a countdown between chapters.

Changing Paimon’s clock is useful for quests that explicitly ask for an in-game time, but it does not turn a seven-day World Quest into a one-session chain.

Swords and Secrets rewards

Finishing the full chain after all Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact steps awards the Druzhna Special Dispatch Order and Construct Appearance: Flutterwing, alongside Primogems, Mora and upgrade materials. The Special Dispatch Order makes a Sword Spirit accompany Vesna during flight.

If you are also running the parallel Vodyanitsa quest, use the Upstream Variations guide and Tidesong Cavern Level 2 guide so both seven-day chains progress together.

HoYoverse confirms the seven-calendar-day structure and rewards for Swords and Secrets on the official Genshin Impact website.

For Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact, it is worth checking the active quest or event text before following an older screenshot, because Version 7.1 content often changes the next marker after each completed step.

A useful final check for Find the Sword Spirit in Genshin Impact is to reopen the relevant quest or event page after the current step ends, because the tracker can update only after the last line of dialogue or completion banner has registered.
