Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe is the Version 7.1 reward event that lets eligible players invite one event-exclusive five-star character for free. If the selector is still locked, the missing requirement is usually story progress: you need Adventure Rank 18 and must complete Chapter VII: Act IV, A Rekviem for the Underworld.
The event is called Tabletop Troupe: A Gathering on Adventure’s Eve and runs until November 3, 2026 at 14:59 server time. Once unlocked, it offers Tartaglia, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, Clorinde and Varesa, with one invitation per account during the event.

The Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe requirements are specific. Your account must be Adventure Rank 18 or above, and the game must record Chapter VII: Act IV, A Rekviem for the Underworld, as completed. Finishing only the first part of the Version 7.1 Archon Quest is not enough.
- Reach Adventure Rank 18.
- Complete Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon and Freedom, if you have not already done so.
- Start Snezhnaya’s Chapter VII story with Act I, Everwinter Without Mercy.
- Complete Chapter VII: Act II, Wraith’s Nocturne.
- Continue through the new Version 7.1 story and complete Act IV, A Rekviem for the Underworld.
- Open the Events menu and select Tabletop Troupe: A Gathering on Adventure’s Eve.
- Choose one of the six available event-exclusive five-stars and confirm the invitation.
If both requirements are complete, the Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe event should be ready to use from the event interface. The reward is not delivered automatically through mail, so finishing Act IV is only the unlock step. You still need to open Tabletop Troupe and claim a character.
Can returning players jump straight into Snezhnaya?
Yes. HoYoverse allows players who have reached Adventure Rank 18 and completed Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon and Freedom, to begin Snezhnaya’s Chapter VII story without finishing every intervening Archon Quest. Chapter VII: Act I, Everwinter Without Mercy, can be accepted once those prerequisites are met.
This shortcut matters for the Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe deadline because returning players do not have to clear years of regional story content before they can start working toward the selector. You do, however, need to complete the Snezhnaya Chapter VII Acts in sequence up to Act IV.
Why is Tabletop Troupe still locked?
If Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe remains locked, check the exact Archon Quest title in your quest history. The requirement is Chapter VII: Act IV, A Rekviem for the Underworld. Completing Act III or reaching the new Version 7.1 story area does not satisfy that condition by itself.
Also make sure you are looking at the correct event. Version 7.1 includes a separate standard five-star selector called Across the Frozen Wilds, Honing One’s Edge. That reward has different eligibility and does not unlock Tabletop Troupe.
If Act IV has just been completed and the event page has not refreshed, reopen the Events menu. A restart can refresh a stuck interface, but it cannot bypass an unfinished quest or the Adventure Rank requirement.
Which characters are in Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe?
The Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe pool contains six event-exclusive five-star characters: Tartaglia, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, Clorinde and Varesa. You can invite one of them during the event.
| Character | Element | General role |
|---|---|---|
| Tartaglia | Hydro | On-field Hydro enabler and damage dealer |
| Nilou | Hydro | Bountiful Bloom enabler |
| Baizhu | Dendro | Healer, defensive support and Dendro application |
| Chiori | Geo | Off-field Geo damage dealer |
| Clorinde | Electro | Fast on-field Electro damage dealer |
| Varesa | Electro | On-field Electro damage dealer with Plunging Attacks |
There is no second Tabletop Troupe pick after you confirm the first one. If you are undecided, read our Best Free 5-Star in Genshin Impact 7.1 guide before choosing. It compares the six characters by role and account need rather than treating every roster as identical.
What rewards come with the character?
The Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe reward includes the selected five-star character and Ascension Level-Up Materials for that same character. That gives a newly claimed unit a useful head start instead of leaving you with the character alone and no matching progression materials.
Tabletop Troupe does not spend Primogems, Fates or banner pity. It is a direct event invitation. This also means the selector does not alter a guarantee you are holding for a current or future Character Event Wish.
When does Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe end?
Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe ends on November 3, 2026 at 14:59 server time. The time is important because it is not a midnight deadline. Check the countdown shown in your own Events menu rather than assuming you have the whole final evening to finish Act IV and claim the character.
The Archon Quest itself stays permanently available after Version 7.1, but the selector does not. Finishing A Rekviem for the Underworld later will let you experience the story, yet it will not restore an expired Tabletop Troupe invitation.
Do not confuse it with the standard selector
Version 7.1 also runs Across the Frozen Wilds, Honing One’s Edge, which offers one character from the standard Wanderlust Invocation pool. That is a separate anniversary reward, so eligible players can claim the standard invitation as well as the Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe limited character.
Our Genshin Impact Free 5-Star Character 2026 guide explains the limited selector in the wider anniversary package, and the anniversary rewards guide covers the other Version 7.1 claims.
Unlock Tabletop Troupe before choosing
The fastest route through Genshin Impact Tabletop Troupe is to focus on Chapter VII progression. Reach Adventure Rank 18, enter Snezhnaya’s story chain, complete Act IV and then return to the event interface to make your one character choice.
