Can Armored Mewtwo Be Shiny in Pokémon GO? No. Shiny Armored Mewtwo is not available during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale, even though Armored Mewtwo is back in five-star raids on September 5 and 6.
Can Armored Mewtwo Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
The answer to Can Armored Mewtwo Be Shiny in Pokémon GO is no for the current event. Niantic specifically states that Shiny Armored Mewtwo will not be available during the Mega Finale return.
That means no amount of raiding during this weekend can produce a Shiny Armored Mewtwo. Sorry!
Is Shiny Armored Mewtwo in the Game?
The important distinction is between a Pokémon being able to return in raids and its Shiny being enabled for that specific event. For Mega Finale, Niantic has explicitly disabled the Shiny encounter.
Why Raid Armored Mewtwo If It Cannot Be Shiny?
Armored Mewtwo is still worth considering because it has been absent from Pokémon GO since 2020 and remains one of the game’s most recognizable limited forms.
This return is useful for collection progress, high-IV hunting, Candy and anyone who simply missed the previous availability windows.

What Is the Perfect Armored Mewtwo CP?
A perfect 100% IV Armored Mewtwo is 1821 CP without weather boost or 2276 CP in Windy weather.
Those are the numbers to watch if you are using the event as a hundo hunt rather than a Shiny hunt.
When Is Armored Mewtwo Available?
Armored Mewtwo appears in five-star raids on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
Sunday is therefore the final day of the current return.
Could Shiny Armored Mewtwo Come Later?
Niantic has only confirmed that the Shiny is unavailable for this event. That does not rule out a future Shiny release, but there is no reason to assume a date until Pokémon GO announces one.
Final Answer: Can Armored Mewtwo Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
No. Can Armored Mewtwo Be Shiny in Pokémon GO is a clean no during Mega Finale 2026. Raid it for the form itself, good IVs and collection value, not for Shiny odds.
