Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps number 30 in the full 2026 remake collection. Most are found on skeletons or inside warehouses, then lead you to a buried chest elsewhere in the Caribbean. Six unlock Ultimate Ship Plans, several grant valuable manor art, and five of the maps are restored from fragments at the Treasure Dealer.
Finding the map comes before digging. If the shovel prompt doesn’t appear at the coordinates below, check that the corresponding map has been added to your Codex. This list covers all 30 Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps, including the unusual shipwreck letter, Blackbeard’s quest map and the fragment-built rewards.
How Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps Work

Open the map’s clue in your Codex and sail to its destination. A dig prompt appears when you reach the correct spot, usually near a recognisable rock, palm tree or wreck. Several pickups are hidden in caves or warehouses, so synchronising viewpoints and unlocking fast travel first makes the hunt much quicker.
In the tables, the pickup column is where you obtain the clue, and the destination column is where you collect the reward. Coordinates use the Resynced map, not the original 2013 layout. The Smelly Sailors map and Blackbeard’s quest do not work like a standard beach dig.
Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps 1–12: Havana to Tortuga
| Map pickup | Treasure destination | Notable reward |
|---|---|---|
| Havana (217, 571) | Havana (213, 564) | Queen Anne’s Figurehead plan |
| Havana Warehouse (205, 600) | Anotto Bay (590, 245) | Crimson Cloak outfit |
| Smelly Sailors note, Havana (225, 573) | Underwater chests on unmarked island (356, 701) | Guardian Beast trinket; no digging |
| Cape Bonavista (161, 585) | Cape Bonavista cave (146, 587) | 1,500 Reales |
| Nassau Warehouse (593, 750) | Isla Providencia (487, 11) | Governor’s Outfit; after Marooned |
| Andreas Island (543, 693) | Abaco Island (586, 811) | Earth Monster Relief art |
| Abaco Island (581, 804) | Salt Lagoon (719, 607) | Serpent Figurehead plan |
| Mariguana Island (847, 514) | Andreas Island (544, 693) | Ultimate Harpoon Strength |
| Great Inagua (813, 448) | Nassau (586, 755) | Elite Sails design |
| Hang all 11 portraits at Great Inagua | Great Inagua (820, 430) | The Fortune legendary cutlass |
| Salt Lagoon (723, 608) | New Bone (407, 94) | Maize Deity art |
| Tortuga (851, 352) | Matanzas (312, 617) | Ultimate Mortar Storage |
Among the first 12 Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps, the Mariguana Island clue leads to Harpoon Strength and the Tortuga clue leads to Mortar Storage. The Great Inagua portrait map only becomes available once you hang all 11 portraits in the manor, so don’t look for a skeleton holding it.
Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps 13–24: More Dig Coordinates
| Map pickup | Treasure destination | Notable reward |
|---|---|---|
| Petite Caverne (862, 237) | Tulum (40, 372) | Ultimate Fire Barrel Storage |
| Cumberland Bay (648, 345) | Pinos Isle (304, 455) | Ivory Wheel design |
| Cayman Sound (298, 311) | Petite Caverne (863, 235) | Ultimate Heavy Shot Storage |
| Pinos Isle (308, 456) | Cayman Sound (304, 310) | 4,000 Reales |
| Santanillas (191, 218) | San Juan (455, 462) | Ultimate Fire Barrel Strength |
| Ambergris Key (28, 160) | Misteriosa (271, 178) | Ultimate Heavy Shot Strength |
| Corozal (11, 242) | Ambergris Key (30, 157) | Pirate Captain outfit |
| Misteriosa (272, 175) | Kingston (631, 152) | Gilded Hull design |
| Isla Providencia (483, 19) | Long Bay (503, 230) | Scottish Broadswords; after Observatory |
| Port Royal (605, 132) | Princípe (113, 11) | Standard Bearer art |
| Île à Vache (812, 114) | Jiguey (534, 510) | Baroque Guitar art |
| Kingston Warehouse (605, 156) | Cumberland Bay (645, 355) | 4,000 Reales |
The Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps that lead to late-game equipment often have story requirements. The Isla Providencia to Long Bay chest needs the Observatory mission; the Nassau Warehouse map’s destination opens after Marooned. Don’t confuse the Ambergris Key to Misteriosa clue with the separate Corozal to Ambergris Key map.
Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps 25–30: Quests and Restored Maps

| Map pickup | Treasure destination | Notable reward |
|---|---|---|
| Blackbeard’s Treasure: Do Not Go Gently story reward | Anotto Bay cave (590, 245) | Blackbeard portrait; quest completion |
| Restored Weathered: six fragments, five caves plus dealer | Mystery Island (914, 124) | Persian Scimitars and Gargoyle’s Breath |
| Restored Yellowed: ten Kenway Fleet pieces | Black Island (915, 617) | Obsidian Sails, The Wellerman, Helm of the Night Owl |
| Restored Digested: two White Jaguar drops | Santanillas (188, 215) | Hunter Outfit and Hunter’s Amulet |
| Restored Tattered: three Pirate Hunter lockbox pieces | Florida (381, 803) | Elite Wheel, Gilt Lined Sails, Sleek Crew Attire |
| Restored Preserved: four repeat Warehouse rewards | Sacrifice Island (14, 554) | Shade and Shadow Robes, Wooden Eyeball |
One of the unusual Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps is obtained through Blackbeard’s story mission Do Not Go Gently. Enter the cave at Anotto Bay underwater, use explosive barrels to break the blocked passages and complete Blackbeard’s Treasure. Returning to Great Inagua rewards his portrait.
How to Restore Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps
Build the Treasure Dealer at Great Inagua once the shop becomes available in Sequence 4. Five map types use fragments rather than a single clue found in the world. Weathered pieces come from five caves and one dealer purchase. Yellowed pieces are Kenway Fleet trade rewards, Digested pieces come from the White Jaguar, Tattered pieces from stronger Pirate Hunter lockboxes, and Preserved pieces from repeat Warehouse raids.
Each restored map also costs resources to rebuild. Check the dealer’s current requirements before turning in your pieces. The Yellowed map is especially slow because Kenway Fleet map-piece rewards can be random, while some others involve waiting for raids or wildlife to become available again.
Which Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps Matter for Trophies?
For the Ship This trophy, six Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps are especially important: the ones for Harpoon Strength, Mortar Storage, Fire Barrel Storage, Heavy Shot Storage, Fire Barrel Strength and Heavy Shot Strength. The other six Ultimate Ship Plans come from diving sites rather than buried treasure.
For the manor’s Dilettante collection, focus on Earth Monster Relief, Maize Deity, Standard Bearer and Baroque Guitar from the map routes, along with the separate portrait and other collections needed for the trophy. Treasure rewards that are only Reales can be left until later if you are not clearing every secret.
What if a Black Flag Resynced Treasure Map Dig Spot Is Missing?
First confirm the clue is in the Codex. Next check whether the location requires a story unlock, such as Marooned or The Observatory. Then use the visual clue to find the right rock, beach or cave, because a coordinate describes the area rather than the precise spot Edward needs to stand.
The Smelly Sailors letter does not lead to a normal dig site; look for its underwater chest instead. When you’ve collected a map but no shovel prompt appears, double-check both the Codex entry and the pictured landmark. Acquired and completed treasure maps carry into New Game+, even though the wider exploration map resets.
