Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge is Ubisoft’s October 2026 video competition, inviting players to show off their best pirate moments for the chance to win physical collectibles and in-game cosmetics. To enter, you need a video lasting one to two minutes, made from your own gameplay, posted on X with the correct hashtag before November 10.
There isn’t a mission to activate or a particular enemy to beat for this competition. Your submission is the video itself: it can feature a battle, a daring boarding or a memorable voyage with Edward’s crew. Ubisoft will choose five finalists from the eligible entries.
How to Enter the Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge
Record gameplay from your own copy of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced using your console’s capture tools or PC recording software. You can edit several scenes into one video, so there’s no need to record a continuous two-minute sequence. Start with whichever pirate moment best shows the game.

- Capture your own gameplay on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or PC using the console capture tools or your preferred PC recording software.
- Edit the footage into a video between one and two minutes long. Only use gameplay you captured yourself.
- Add a credit identifying the creator in the bottom-right corner of the video, as Ubisoft requests.
- If you add music, use a track from Black Flag Resynced or your own cover of music from the game. Do not include AI-generated footage.
- Upload the finished video to X before November 10, 2026, with the exact hashtag #ACBlackFlagPirateChallenge.
Check that the X post plays properly and includes #ACBlackFlagPirateChallenge. Ubisoft only accepts videos posted after the challenge opened on October 28. Footage recorded earlier can be included, but your qualifying entry needs to be published during the event.
Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge Rules and Objectives
The Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge rewards creativity, not your completion percentage. Legendary Ships, New Game+ and Nightmare difficulty can provide exciting footage, but none of those activities is an entry requirement. Choose scenes you can capture well.
Keep the final video between 60 and 120 seconds, with your creator credit in the bottom-right corner. You can cut between your own recorded scenes, but cannot use someone else’s gameplay or generative-AI footage. For music, Ubisoft allows tracks from Black Flag Resynced or your own cover of music from the game.
There is no in-game Pirate Challenge progress bar. You enter by posting the finished video on X with #ACBlackFlagPirateChallenge, not by completing an Animus Hub objective. Check your post plays properly and the hashtag is present before the submission window closes.
Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge End Date and Voting Schedule
The Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge opened on October 28, 2026, at 5 p.m. UK time. Ubisoft requires entries to be posted on X before November 10. It hasn’t supplied a specific local closing hour, so don’t rely on November 10 as an extra submission day. Five finalists will be contacted on X between November 10 and 17.
| October 28, 2026 | Competition begins; new entries can be posted |
| Before November 10 | Post your own one to two minute video on X with the hashtag |
| November 10 to 17 | Ubisoft contacts five finalists on X to request their videos |
| November 17 | The five finalist videos appear on the official Assassin’s Creed X account |
| Before November 20 | Public voting takes place by liking the finalist posts |
| November 21 | Ubisoft announces the winning creator |
The finalist videos will appear as separate posts beneath a main thread, with the creators listed alphabetically. Viewers vote by liking the finalist posts and may like more than one. The most-liked entry before voting closes wins.
Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge Rewards and Prizes

Each finalist receives a Black Flag Resynced Titan artbook, the first four physical volumes of Assassin’s Creed Forgotten Temple, and codes for two in-game cosmetic bundles of their choice. Ubisoft also lists a Matt Ryan item as “autograph (unsigned)”, so the published prize description does not establish that it will be hand-signed.
The winning finalist also receives a Collector’s Edition of Black Flag Resynced for their preferred platform. Ubisoft will upload the winning video to the global Assassin’s Creed YouTube channel.
All five finalists get the shared prize bundle, while the overall winner also receives the Collector’s Edition and a YouTube feature. Ubisoft contacts finalists on X between November 10 and 17 to request their videos. Keep an eye on the account you used to enter.
Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge: Is New Game+ Required?
Yes. You can enter from an ordinary playthrough. New Game+ offers more opportunities for footage, but it isn’t an entry requirement. A great naval fight, a voyage through rough weather or an entertaining boarding sequence is enough to build a video around.
For a varied entry, combine a broadside exchange, a ship boarding and a quieter shot of the Jackdaw at sea. None of those scenes is compulsory, but they give your video a beginning, a little danger and a strong finish. Our ship combat and Legendary Ships guides can help you find moments worth recording.
The Black Flag Resynced Pirate Challenge closes to entries before November 10. Finish your edit, check the credit and soundtrack, then post it on X with the exact hashtag. Ubisoft will share the finalist videos on November 17 for the public vote and announce the winner on November 21.
