FFXIV Barret Outfit is the Avalanche Leader glamour set in the FFXIV and Final Fantasy VII Remake Keybound Brawler crossover. All six outfit pieces cost 1,760 MGC together. The Avalanche Gatling Gun is sold separately as a 430 MGC fashion accessory, bringing the full Barret-themed collection to 2,190 MGC.
You earn the special event currency by playing Keybound Brawler and buy the pieces individually at the MGC Trader in the Gold Saucer. Here’s every item name, its price, the quickest route to the shop and how the Gatling Gun differs from the outfit.
How to unlock the FFXIV Barret Outfit
Reach level 15, finish your starting city’s envoy quest, then talk to the Well-Heeled Youth in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald (X:9.6, Y:9.0). His quest, It Could Happen to You, opens the Manderville Gold Saucer. Take the airship there after completing it.
Inside the Gold Saucer, accept Keyward Bound from the Catlike Mammet at X:5.4, Y:7.0. Finishing the quest unlocks the four-player typing game, which awards Manderville Gold Saucer Credits. This is how you fund the FFXIV Barret Outfit, rather than completing a special Barret quest.
Square Enix requires a hardware keyboard for the activity. Controllers and on-screen keyboards cannot be used to type the attack words. Make sure your keyboard is recognised before you start earning the credits needed for each outfit piece.
FFXIV Barret Outfit: all six pieces and prices
| Avalanche Leader item | Price |
|---|---|
| Sunglasses | 190 MGC |
| Vest | 430 MGC |
| Halfgloves | 260 MGC |
| Cargo Trousers | 430 MGC |
| Boots | 260 MGC |
| Earring | 190 MGC |
| Six-piece total | 1,760 MGC |
| Avalanche Gatling Gun, separate accessory | 430 MGC |
The Avalanche Leader’s Vest and Cargo Trousers cost 430 MGC each. Halfgloves and Boots are 260 each. The Sunglasses and Earring are 190 each. These six entries add up to 1,760 MGC according to Square Enix’s official event shop.
If you want the recognizable Barret clothing without the earring, five pieces cost 1,570 MGC. Every entry is individually available, so there’s no need to save the full total before buying the Vest or Sunglasses. You can assemble the look as your MGC balance grows.
Is the Avalanche Gatling Gun included?
No. The Avalanche Gatling Gun costs another 430 MGC and appears as a fashion accessory in the reward list. It’s separate from the six Avalanche Leader glamour pieces. The outfit plus this accessory is 2,190 MGC, which is the number to budget if you want the entire Barret-inspired look.
The accessory is not a new combat weapon for your job. Treat it as a cosmetic purchase and look under its own name in the MGC shop. Our full rewards list includes the Gatling Gun alongside the outfits, mount and other FFVII prizes.
Check who can equip it: the FFXIV Barret Outfit is restricted to male characters, including the six Avalanche Leader clothing and accessory pieces. Female characters cannot equip the set. The separately purchased Gatling Gun is a fashion accessory, not an extra piece that changes the outfit’s restrictions.
Where is the FFXIV Barret Outfit vendor?
Visit Keybound Square (X:6.2, Y:6.0) at the Manderville Gold Saucer and speak to the MGC Trader. Look for the Avalanche Leader entries, not a single shop item labelled ‘Barret Outfit’. The trader accepts MGC earned through Keybound Brawler, rather than ordinary Manderville Gold Saucer Points.
If you already have 430 MGC, you can buy the Vest immediately. At 620 MGC, you can afford Vest and Sunglasses. To collect the entire outfit plus Gatling Gun, keep playing until you reach 2,190 MGC and check off each piece from the table. This makes the FFXIV Barret Outfit a straightforward shopping goal.
When will the FFXIV Barret Outfit leave the Gold Saucer?
The FFVII Remake event started on 28 October 2026 and runs until Patch 8.0. Square Enix says event MGC can only be earned and spent during that period. Visit the MGC Trader before the collaboration ends to claim your selected outfit pieces and accessory.
If you’re collecting both looks, the Tifa-inspired outfit costs another 1,570 MGC. The separate Magitek Scorpion mount costs 430. For the FFXIV Barret Outfit alone, remember 1,760 MGC for six items or 2,190 MGC with the Gatling Gun.
