Halloween The Game Starting Weapons let Michael Myers begin a match equipped with a weapon from his loadout. The original five choices are the Kitchen Knife, Hatchet, Wood Axe, Pick-Axe and Pitchfork. Tower Farm Terror added a sixth, the Scythe, on October 27, 2026.
The Kitchen Knife is available immediately. The Hatchet unlocks at Profile Level 20, Wood Axe at 40, Pick-Axe at 60 and Pitchfork at 80. The Scythe has its own free challenge route or paid shortcut.
Halloween The Game Starting Weapons: All Six and Requirements

Select a Starting Weapon in Michael’s loadout before a match. The levels below are unlock requirements; each weapon also has separate XP, challenges and cosmetic rewards.

| Hatchet | Profile Level 20 | One-handed and throwable |
| Wood Axe | Profile Level 40 | Heavy melee |

| Scythe | Scythe Progressive Challenges or Halloween 5 skin | Free challenge or paid instant unlock |
Reach Profile Level 20 for the Hatchet, 40 for the Wood Axe, 60 for the Pick-Axe and 80 for the Pitchfork, then equip the weapon in Michael’s Starting Weapon selection.
Halloween The Game Starting Weapons: How to Unlock the Scythe
The Scythe is the newest member of Halloween The Game Starting Weapons. IllFonic confirms a free route: complete its Scythe Progressive Challenges. Alternatively, purchase the Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin, which immediately unlocks the Scythe. Its announced US price is $9.99.
- Install Tower Farm Terror and October 28 Hotfix 1.2.1.
- Restart the game, as IllFonic specifically instructs.
- Open Michael’s Weapon Progressive Challenges and check the Scythe tasks.
- Complete the listed objectives to permanently select the weapon.
Hotfix 1.2.1 fixes the inaccessible Scythe challenge. Our Scythe challenge troubleshooting guide covers the restart needed to access it.
Halloween The Game Starting Weapons and Weapon Levels
IllFonic separates Profile, Killer, Civilian and Weapon XP. Weapon Level advances when you dispatch victims with a specific equippable Michael weapon. Each weapon can also have Progressive Challenge objectives connected with cosmetics or other progression rewards.
Patch 1.2.0 lists these examples: Hatchet Wood Splitter requires 50 locked doors destroyed, Kitchen Knife Cut the Cord asks for 100 phones destroyed, Pick-Axe Power Severance needs 80 power boxes, Pitchfork Barnyard Breach needs 50 locked doors and Wood Axe Brute Force Entry needs 75 locked doors.
These are weapon Progressive Challenge goals, separate from the unlock levels above. See our Progressive Challenges table for additional updated objectives.
Halloween The Game Starting Weapons: Found vs Permanent Weapons
IllFonic says you can discover the Scythe on the free Tower Farm map during play. That doesn’t prove a specific fixed spawn location or instantly grant its Starting Weapon slot for later matches. Completing the challenge or buying the 1989 Michael appearance is what permanently unlocks that option.
Halloween The Game Starting Weapons remain equipped between matches once unlocked. Picking up a Scythe on Tower Farm doesn’t permanently add it to your Starting Weapon selection.
Which Halloween The Game Starting Weapon Should You Use?
Use the Kitchen Knife for close-range attacks or the throwable Hatchet and Pitchfork when you want another option. The Wood Axe and Pick-Axe support heavier melee attacks. Patch 1.2.0 shortened the attack lunges of the Wood Axe, Pick-Axe and Pitchfork.
Weapon XP belongs to each individual weapon, so rotating loadouts helps earn different tints and executions. Our Scythe unlock guide covers the newest weapon.
