Diablo 4 War Plans points missing on an alternate character is a confirmed bug in the 3.3.0 Season 16 PTR. Blizzard says eligible alts may show zero shared points until you change zones. Travel to another area on the affected character, then open War Plans again before assuming your progress is gone.
The other reason an alt has no points is that it belongs to a different character partition. Check Seasonal/Eternal, Hardcore and Solo Self-Found settings before treating the missing total as a bug.
How to fix Diablo 4 War Plans points missing on alts
Blizzard’s Diablo 4 War Plans points missing workaround is to change zones on the affected alt. Use a Waypoint or cross into another area, then reopen War Plans. Don’t reset your board or delete a character to address this display issue.
- Open the 3.3.0 PTR and select the affected alternate character.
- Check the War Plans screen to confirm the shared total is missing.
- Change zones, then reopen the War Plans screen.
- If nothing changes, check the character categories below.
- If all categories match, report the unresolved PTR issue to Blizzard.
The zone change refreshes points for eligible characters. It doesn’t transfer reputation between Seasonal and Eternal realms, Hardcore modes or Solo Self-Found partitions.
Which alts are supposed to share War Plans points?
Blizzard introduced shared War Plans reputation in Season 15. Points carry between characters on the same account only when all three partitions match:
| Partition | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Seasonal or Eternal | Both characters in the same realm type |
| Hardcore | Both Hardcore or both non-Hardcore |
| Solo Self-Found | Both SSF or both non-SSF |
Two Seasonal non-Hardcore non-SSF characters can share reputation. If one of those characters is Solo Self-Found and the other isn’t, they won’t. A Seasonal character also won’t automatically inherit reputation from an Eternal character. No zone change can bypass those restrictions.
When Diablo 4 War Plans points missing affects an eligible alt, try the zone change. If the characters’ modes differ, the lack of shared points is normal.
Why does an alt have a different War Plans layout?
Eligible alts share War Plans reputation, not their chosen planner layout. Each character can assign its earned points to different activities. A different board layout isn’t the same as losing the points.
Our War Plans Tactics guide covers activity and reward priorities. The shared War Plans guide covers party board sharing, which is a different mechanic.
Does Diablo 4 War Plans points missing affect live Diablo IV?
The Diablo 4 War Plans points missing issue Blizzard listed concerns PTR 3.3.0, running on PC from 27 October to 3 November 2026. That doesn’t establish the same bug in the live game, which is on a different version. The zone-change workaround comes from the testing notice.
If you are new to War Plans, see How to Unlock War Plans and Where to Find the War Plans Table for the usual prerequisites and location.
What if Diablo 4 War Plans points missing persists after changing zones?
If Diablo 4 War Plans points missing persists with matching character modes, use Esc > Report a Bug in the PTR client or post on Blizzard’s PTR forum. Include your characters’ Seasonal, Hardcore and SSF settings, the expected point total, the zone you moved to and what appeared afterward.
Our Season 16 PTR guide explains how to join. For testing on a fresh character while account copying is unavailable, see PTR Build Testing With Mrak.
