Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026 is live from 26 October to 16 November, with three weeks of faction battles and shared rewards. Join through Dying Light Outpost, farm Showdown Candies and donate them at Baka outside the Bazaar. Give at least 10 to a faction during its week to qualify for its weapon once the community reaches the goal.

Frighter and Gravegade are the first opponents, putting the Whisperblade and Neural Maul up for grabs. You can back both. Showdown Candies and ordinary Halloween Candies do different jobs, and weapons arrive differently from the winning charm. Here’s how everything works.

Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026: how to start

  1. Join on the official Outpost event page.
  2. Collect Showdown Candies from featured enemies or Halloween Chests.
  3. Go to Baka outside the Bazaar.
  4. Give 10 to each side for both eligibility flags and 1,000 Halloween Candies.
  5. Check your stash for completed community weapon goals and claim the charm on Outpost.

How to join Halloween Showdown

Install Update 1.30 and open the Halloween Showdown page on Dying Light Outpost. Sign in, join the event and confirm the correct PC or console account is linked. Then play Dying Light 2, find the featured Halloween enemies or event chests, and take the Showdown Candies to Baka outside the Bazaar. To qualify for rewards in Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026, you need both Outpost enrolment and the minimum faction donation. Merely collecting the candies does not qualify you for a weapon.

Event dates and weekly charm claims

Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026 runs from 26 October to 16 November 2026, with three weekly matchups. Frighter versus Gravegade is week one. The first winning charm becomes claimable on 2 November, with the following claims on 9 and 16 November. The Outpost page shows the weekly countdown, which is useful if you are donating close to the deadline. Eligible charms can be claimed until 23 November, but you cannot earn a previous week’s reward after its participation window closes. Check Outpost for the actual week-two and week-three rivals when they are announced.

Two types of Halloween Candy

In Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026, Showdown Candies fund the faction competition. Collect them from featured enemies in Villedor’s open world or from Halloween Chests during encounters, then donate them to Frighter or Gravegade through Baka. Halloween Candies are different: seasonal enemies in the open world and Tower Raid drop them, and they’re what you spend on normal Baka shop items. Donating Showdown Candies can also award regular Halloween Candies. When a quest mentions ten donated candies, it means Showdown Candies, not ordinary Halloween Candies.

Best ways to collect Showdown Candies

During Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026, Halloween Chests contain 40 Showdown Candies by day and 80 at night. One daytime chest covers both minimum donations and leaves twenty Showdown Candies for voting. Nighttime chests pay twice as much, but roaming after dark is riskier, so don’t feel forced into them if you’re under-equipped. Frighter and Gravegade enemies also drop the event currency in the open world during week one. Techland has not supplied a reliable fixed chest map or guaranteed per-enemy drop number, so choose visible encounters rather than trusting a copied spawn marker.

Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026: Frighter and Gravegade

The opening week of Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026 gives Frighter the Whisperblade and Gravegade’s is the Neural Maul. Donate at least 10 Showdown Candies to each individual faction to qualify for both goals. That ten-Candy contribution makes you eligible; the weapon arrives only when the community finishes the goal. You can back both sides without forfeiting either weapon. Techland has not published the weapons’ exact damage or perks.

Get 500 Halloween Candies for each faction

In Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026, donating ten Showdown Candies to a faction gives an immediate 500 regular Halloween Candies. Hit 10 on both sides to earn 1,000 of the ordinary shop currency that week. Any extra Showdown Candies you donate then push your preferred rival closer to winning the weekly popularity vote. The faction with more contributions determines the single winning character charm, which is distinct from reaching the shared goals for both weapons. Both goals may be completed even when one side loses the vote.

Where to find Baka and check your prizes

For Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026, Baka’s shop is attached to an outside wall of the Bazaar, the former church in Villedor. Talk to him to contribute your Showdown Candies and browse offers bought with Halloween Candies. Once the community completes a faction goal, qualifying weapon rewards are delivered automatically to your in-game stash. The winning charm requires a separate action: go to the Outpost event page when that week’s result is announced and press Claim. If nothing arrives, check enrolment, linked platform, donation amount and whether the goal is complete.

Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026: final deadline

Unused Showdown Candies are removed when Dying Light 2 Halloween Showdown 2026 ends on 16 November, so don’t save them hoping they will carry forward. Claim the weekly winning charms on Outpost before 23 November. Joining the event late still lets you contribute during the current week, but it will not grant earlier weeks’ rewards if you missed their participation windows. Before spending any Halloween Candies on shop goods, check Baka’s displayed current stock and cost. Baka’s normal shop stock is separate from the faction rewards.

Check your current progress and rewards on the official Showdown Outpost page.
