Dying Light: The Beast Call of the Beast Event Guide: Week 3 and Rewards

Community Event Participation Dying Light The Beast Dying Light The Beast anniversary event

Call of the Beast event in Dying Light: The Beast has reached its final weekend. The third and last week runs October 5 to 12, 2026, and Techland has set the community a target of killing 50 million enemies. The weekend vote is decided too: Flamethrower won, bringing infinite stamina with a drawback to Fury Point gains.

If you’ve been putting off participating, the deadline is Monday, October 12 at 1 PM BST. The event is shared across the community, while rewards are claimed through the Dying Light Outpost account linked to your game. Here’s what to do before it ends.

The final Dying Light The Beast Call of the Beast Event Guide objective is a shared total of 50 million enemy kills across the active event. It isn’t an individual target of 50 million kills, so your contribution helps move the community toward the reward.

StageDatesReward
Week 1September 21 to 28Castor Keychain
Week 2September 28 to October 5Kyle’s Cane
Week 3October 5 to 12Styled Crane, subject to community objective

The event closes October 12 at 2 PM CEST (1 PM BST). Techland gives players until October 19 at 2 PM CEST (1 PM BST) to claim earned rewards from Outpost. The later date is a claim window, not an extension of the active global challenge.

How to participate in the Call of the Beast event

Launch Dying Light: The Beast and check that Community Event Participation is enabled in the online options. Enter the active game world, defeat enemies and contribute to the shared objective while the event is running. You don’t have to change weapons to match the vote to have your normal enemy kills count towards the community goal.

Keeping the event participation option enabled is important. If you’ve disabled community events, confirm the setting before committing time to a long farming session. Our Community Event Participation guide covers the toggle and common problems.

Flamethrower won the final weekend vote

Techland confirmed Flamethrower as the winning option for the final Call of the Beast weekend, October 9 to 12. Its modifier grants infinite stamina, while Fury Point gains are halved. That gives you more room to sprint and fight without tiring, but slows how quickly you build Fury.

The Grenade Launcher was the alternative choice. Its proposed rules were infinite ammunition but triple incoming damage. Since it lost the vote, don’t describe that riskier grenade modifier as the active weekend effect.

The Call of the Beast event is free for anyone who owns Dying Light: The Beast. It doesn’t require a separate anniversary purchase, and participating while playing solo is fine.

During the Call of the Beast event, the weapon vote is a separate part of the community activity. Week 3 enemy kills help the global goal, while the earlier weekday vote decided which modifier applies this weekend.

Since the Call of the Beast event has already reached its third week, the earlier stages are no longer open for fresh contributions. Players who earned an item during those stages can still use the claim window.

The Call of the Beast event doesn’t continue until October 19. That date applies only to redeeming eligible rewards through Outpost.

How to claim rewards from Dying Light Outpost

Open the official Dying Light Outpost anniversary event page and sign in with the account connected to the platform where you play. Make sure your PlayStation, Xbox or PC account is linked to the same Techland account, then review the event reward tiles and claim any unlocked rewards you earned.

Castor Keychain is the first week’s named reward; Kyle’s Cane is the Week 2 reward and is available to claim. Styled Crane is the final Week 3 reward, tied to successful completion of the community objective. Don’t assume a locked final-week tile can already be claimed before it unlocks.

What if your Call of the Beast reward is missing?

First check the reward status on Outpost, then verify that the game platform account you actually use is linked to that Outpost login. A reward shown as unclaimed on the site may need an explicit claim. If the site shows it as claimed but you can’t find it in-game, restart the game and inspect the relevant inventory or cosmetics area before contacting support with your account and reward details.

Check the Call of the Beast rewards list for the three named items and their claim status. If you’re looking for a method to contribute quickly, the Call of the Beast challenges walkthrough explains the active objective.

With Week 3 nearly finished, the best thing you can do is make sure community participation is active and add some enemy kills before October 12. The Call of the Beast event deadline is separate from the October 19 reward redemption cutoff, so remember to visit Outpost even after the fighting ends.
