ESO Fighters Guild is an easy skill line to start levelling while you play normally. Joining opens skills designed for fighting undead and Daedra, and the reputation comes from killing those enemies and closing Dark Anchors rather than using Fighter abilities on your bar.

The guild story begins at your alliance’s first main city, but you don’t have to spend all your time on that quest chain to reach rank 10. Here are the unlock locations and the activities that actually move the reputation bar.

Where to join the ESO Fighters Guild

Find the Fighters Guild hall in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall or Davon’s Watch. Speak to the guild recruiter and accept the invitation, then meet Guildmaster Sees-All-Colors for the introductory Anchors from the Harbour quest. You can join the Mages Guild and Undaunted too. Fighters Guild membership is character-based and doesn’t replace your character’s class, alliance or player guild membership.

Which enemies increase Fighters Guild rank

Killing undead or Daedra counts towards Fighters Guild reputation. Skeletons, zombies and other undead enemies in appropriate zones work, as do Daedra encountered in dolmens or Daedric-themed activities. You can earn the reputation with any damaging ability; Fighters Guild skills don’t have to be on your bar. Check the actual guild skill bar after clearing groups of enemies to confirm you’re gaining ranks instead of assuming all world enemies award the same reputation.

Dark Anchors are a reliable route

Dark Anchors, also called dolmens, spawn waves of hostile Daedra and undead and award guild reputation for closing them. Use the anchor symbols on zone maps to plan a circuit; Alik’r Desert dolmen groups are a common community route because the travel between anchors is manageable. You still need to reach the fights and participate. Fight the Daedra and help close the Dolmen to earn reputation; arriving after it ends won’t earn you progress.

ESO Fighters Guild – The guild’s quest line

The introductory quest begins a story involving Merric, Sees-All-Colors and the guild’s struggle against Molag Bal’s forces. Later chapters are separate from daily enemy farming and may have progression requirements. Follow the guild story markers when you want its quests, but don’t mistake story completion for automatically reaching Fighters Guild rank 10. You can train reputation through combat during the rest of your regular zone and dungeon activities.

Fighters Guild skills and the rank 10 cap

ESO Fighters Guild caps at rank 10 and includes Silver Bolts, Circle of Protection, Expert Hunter, Trap Beast and the Dawnbreaker Ultimate, along with passives. These are available across classes once the corresponding ranks unlock. Read the skill descriptions before putting points into a build: some abilities have morphs or bonuses that are especially useful against certain targets, but joining the guild alone doesn’t purchase every skill.

ESO Fighters Guild – Daily guild quests

Cardea Gallus offers repeatable Dark Anchor quests from Fighters Guild halls. You can take one while heading into a zone with active anchors and combine its reward with the enemy and anchor reputation you’re already earning. A daily quest is a helpful nudge towards places where targets appear; it isn’t the only source of ESO Fighters Guild progress. If the assigned anchor is quiet, consider another zone with a more active group before spending ages waiting.

How to level without grinding all day

If you’re completing zone stories, focus some play sessions on areas with undead enemies or dolmens rather than unrelated wildlife. Group with players running anchors and clear enemies as they spawn. A short, repeatable loop is often easier than hunting a rare enemy for an hour. For Fighters Guild reputation is separate from your character’s level; levelling up your character doesn’t itself grant an automatic guild rank.

Why the line still shows level one

If you’ve killed Daedra but haven’t joined, visit the Fighters Guild hall first and check that the line exists under Skills → Guild. Verify that the enemies were actually undead or Daedra and that the anchor was completed. A character’s guild progression isn’t the same as another character’s, so don’t compare two alts expecting identical ranks. The skill line advances from eligible enemy kills, Dolmens and its relevant activities.
