ESO Trade Bars: How to Earn Them and Use the Gold Coast Bazaar

ESO Eastern Skyrim Access: How Season Two Works

ESO Trade Bars are the account-wide currency introduced with Update 49 to replace Event Tickets. You earn them through Tamriel Tomes, seasonal events and other supported activities, then spend them on collectibles and other rewards in the Gold Coast Bazaar or at event merchants.

Unlike the old Event Ticket system, there is no balance cap and unused Trade Bars survive between seasons. That makes saving for a future mount or returning cosmetic an option, but it helps to understand which store items rotate and which remain available.

ESO Trade Bars – How Event Tickets converted into Trade Bars

When Update 49 launched, every old Event Ticket converted to 100 Trade Bars. The old ticket cap was twelve, so an account carrying the maximum began with 1,200 converted bars. The conversion is automatic; you don’t have to visit an NPC to trade tickets over manually. Future events use the new currency system for relevant rewards rather than adding fresh Event Tickets to your wallet.

ESO Trade Bars – Earn them through Tamriel Tomes

The seasonal Tamriel Tome is a primary source of Trade Bars. Complete Weekly and Seasonal Challenges to earn Tome Points, unlock Tome pages and claim the available Trade Bar rewards on them. Don’t confuse the two currencies: Tome Points unlock pages and are spent on Tome rewards, while Trade Bars are a separate balance spent at Bazaar and event vendors. The currency is earned in-game rather than purchased directly with Crowns.

Events and Vengeance rewards

Seasonal in-game events can award Trade Bars through their particular activities, daily quests or event containers. The Jester’s Festival, for example, offered a daily account-wide Trade Bar payout rather than the old Event Ticket reward. Vengeance campaign activity is another announced source. During events, check the reward description to see which quest or activity actually awards the bars.

Find the Gold Coast Bazaar

Open the Crown Store interface and select its dedicated Gold Coast Bazaar tab. The Bazaar is an in-game currency shop even though it sits inside the same interface as Crown-purchased goods. Items there are bought with Trade Bars, not Crowns, and the Bazaar’s purchases cannot be gifted to other players. Review the price and item preview before confirming; the currency you spend is shared across the account.

Seasonal rewards versus Gold Coast Wares

The Bazaar has two major sections. Seasonal offerings change with each season, approximately every three months, while Gold Coast Wares is its longer-term collection of available rewards. The evergreen selection can still gain or lose individual items, but it doesn’t fully rotate on the same cadence. If none of the current cosmetics interest you, save your balance for the next seasonal refresh.

The Impresario and returning fragments

Event vendors such as the Impresario can sell fragments for morphing collectibles, returning items and other seasonal rewards for Trade Bars. The official conversion aims to preserve the value of former ticket-priced rewards: an item that used to cost ten tickets would correspond to 1,000 Trade Bars under the 100-to-one conversion. Inspect live vendor stock because some fragments debut as event-box drops before becoming purchasable from the Impresario. You can keep collecting fragments in later events rather than spending your entire balance at once.

ESO Trade Bars – Is there a cap or expiry date?

There is no cap on how many Trade Bars you can hold, and the currency carries across seasons. You don’t need to spend down to twelve old-ticket equivalents or worry about the balance disappearing when the current Tome ends. The items available to buy can expire or rotate, though, so treat a Seasonal item deadline separately from the currency’s own persistence. If your wanted cosmetic is rotating out, claim it while it’s listed rather than assuming it will still be there next month.

How to choose which Bazaar rewards to buy

Look through Bazaar previews and compare prices before buying cheap consumables you could obtain elsewhere. A unique mount, costume or historical collectible may be harder to replace than a short-duration boost. Because you earn the currency through gameplay, think about whether that purchase is worth the time involved. For limited items, check their seasonal rotation date, and for fragments inspect how many parts you still need before committing to one.

Missing bars or conversion problems

Open the wallet balance and check whether an account used to hold Event Tickets before March 2026. Converted tickets should have appeared automatically at the 100-to-one rate. If the total isn’t right, ESO Support asks players to submit a ticket with the balance and details. Check that you’re looking at Trade Bars rather than Tome Points or Seals of Endeavor first. If your reward isn’t reflected in your balance, open the relevant Tome reward or event container and check whether you still need to claim it.
