FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 began on 26 October 2026 at 5:00 a.m. GMT. To enter the leaderboard, play the Crucible of the Unbroken on your Home World, choose Third Degree and tick Participate in rankings. Your score draws on the last three attempts at each board, rather than just your best-ever clear.
The Tourmaline Golem mount goes to the top 300 in Europe, North America and Japan, but only the top 100 in Oceania. Higher placements also earn achievements. The final closing date needs care: Square Enix’s North American and European announcements currently disagree on the end window. Here’s how to compete without missing the deadline.
FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 dates and UK start time

The competition opened at 10:00 p.m. PDT on 25 October, or 5:00 a.m. GMT on 26 October in Britain. North American Patch 7.57 notes give a late-November end window, while the European Lodestone start notice says early December. Neither gives an exact closing day or hour.
There’s a further wrinkle: the North American patch notes list the in-game “Early December” label as a known issue, even though the European season notice uses that same wording. Until Square Enix reconciles the notices and publishes a precise cutoff, don’t plan your final runs around either approximate date. A preseason break follows the season.
How to enter FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1
- Make sure your character is on their Home World, rather than visiting another World.
- Enter the Crucible of the Unbroken with your beastmaster.
- Choose Third Degree from Crucible Mode.
- Enable the Participate in rankings checkbox.
- Clear eligible boards and speak with Lauda, Central Shroud (X:21.9, Y:22.8) to view your score.
- Check the Lodestone rankings as other players submit their attempts.
Third Degree refers to the difficulty, not third place in the standings. A clear made without the ranking checkbox, or while visiting another World, will not qualify. Check your location and both settings before starting a serious run.
Patch 7.57 saves the most recently chosen Crucible difficulty until you log out. It can help when repeating boards, but you should check the setting again after logging back in. The option to participate in rankings remains separate from the difficulty selection.
How FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 scores work
Square Enix calculates your ranking from your last three attempts at each board and combines results across multiple boards. The system does not simply keep one all-time highest clear for every board. A new attempt can change which three runs are counted.
If you’ve posted a strong set of scores, think carefully before replacing an older attempt with another run. The leaderboard can change when you record new results and when other players improve theirs. Lauda shows your current score; the Lodestone shows how that compares with everyone else.
Patch 7.57 elite enemies and Sleepless Survival points
| Scoring condition | Old points | New points |
|---|---|---|
| Defeat an elite enemy | 625 | 800 |
| Sleepless Survival bonus | 375 | 1,000 |
Elite enemies are now worth 175 more points than before. Sleepless Survival gives an extra 625 points compared with the previous value. These affect scoring inside the Crucible, not the eligibility checkbox or the reward thresholds. Our FFXIV Patch 7.57 breakdown covers the other beastmaster and system changes.
FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 rewards and Tourmaline Golem

Rewards are awarded based on your final position within your physical data centre. Square Enix has different cutoff tiers for Oceania, so players there must finish higher to receive the same achievements and mount:
| Placement | Europe, North America, Japan | Oceania |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Beast of the Best, Running Feral, Crucible Contender, Tourmaline Golem | Same |
| 2nd to 30th | Running Feral, Crucible Contender, mount | Same |
| 31st to 100th | Running Feral, Crucible Contender, mount | Crucible Contender, mount |
| 101st to 300th | Crucible Contender, mount | No listed season reward |
| 301st or lower | No listed season reward | No listed season reward |
The Crucible Contender achievement awards the Tourmaline Golem mount. Higher placements also unlock Running Feral and the first-place Beast of the Best achievement. After the season ends, Square Enix distributes ranking reward vouchers using the Moogle Delivery Service. Equal ranks can affect reward quantities.
FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 does not have a fixed score that guarantees the mount. You must stay inside your region’s qualifying placement range at season end. See our Tourmaline Golem guide for details of the achievement and mount.
Where to check your score and fix missing rankings
Speak with Lauda in Central Shroud at X:21.9, Y:22.8 to view your current Crucible Ranking Score. The Lodestone leaderboard also publishes rankings, which are refreshed periodically. Your in-game total may not appear instantly on the public page after a run.
If you’re missing from FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1, confirm that you used Third Degree, opted into rankings and completed the attempt on your Home World. Those are the official registration conditions. Checking them before another run is more useful than changing unrelated difficulty or graphics settings.
What happens when Season 1 finishes?
Once Season 1 closes, ranked participation pauses for preseason. Season 2 begins afterwards, with dates to be announced. What matters for the current competition is your eligible score and final placement, not simply completing Third Degree once.
FFXIV Crucible Rankings Season 1 is already active, so you can continue improving your board results while waiting for the confirmed closing time. Keep an eye on Square Enix’s announcements, and remember that the Tourmaline Golem cutoff is different for Oceania.
