Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun is the key tool introduced in the October 5 Laboratory, but the room does not hand it to you as a finished item. Three separate pieces are hidden around the right-hand work area, and several later interactions stay completely inert until those parts have been combined. That can make the colour machine, chamber generators and even the older Hallway look broken when the real problem is simply that Belle’s tool has not been assembled yet.
The Find Gus Lightgun is also more important than a one-room puzzle item. After the Laboratory story is finished, it stays in your inventory and creates new interactions back in Stage 2. That makes it worth understanding where every part comes from and what the completed tool is supposed to affect. The steps below separate the three pickup locations from the later uses so you can diagnose whether you are missing a component, using the gun on the wrong object or trying a correct interaction before the required room state is ready.
Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun: all three part locations

All three Find Gus Lightgun parts are grouped around the right-hand Laboratory workbench. The first is revealed by tapping the small electrical device immediately to the left of the mixing machine. The second comes from the tall coil on the far right of the bench area. The third is inside the drawer below the right-hand bench. Open the drawer rather than searching the floor, because the final piece is stored inside it.
- Tap the small electrical device just left of the colour-mixing machine.
- Tap the tall coil on the far right side of the Laboratory bench.
- Open the drawer beneath the right-hand bench and take the part inside.
- Drag one loose part onto another, add the third piece, then tap the completed tool to collect it.
The Find Gus Lightgun should then appear as an inventory item. If you have three loose pieces but no usable gun, they still need to be combined. Dragging the pieces together is part of the puzzle. Simply revealing all three locations does not automatically finish the tool, and later objects will not respond as though it has been built.
Use the Lightgun to start the Laboratory colour puzzle
The first important Find Gus Lightgun use is the burner beneath the hanging beaker. Select the Find Gus Lightgun and use it on that burner to ignite the green flame. The colour bottles can then be mixed for the chamber puzzles. This interaction is easy to skip because the bottles and beaker are already visible before the flame is active, but loading colours is not enough if the Laboratory’s mixing setup has not been properly started.
The Find Gus Lightgun is also used on the green generator panel beneath each chamber. During the first round, mix the two-bottle target colour, fill the carry vial, place it in the matching chamber slot and then zap that chamber’s generator. During the second round, the same pattern returns with three-bottle recipes. A correct vial can sit in place without opening the chamber until the Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun is used on the generator.
Use the Lightgun for Belle’s random generator orders
After Piper’s four parts are moved to the table, Belle shows a four-number sequence. Count the generators from left to right as 1 through 4 and use the Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun in the order displayed in your own run. The order is randomised, so a sequence from another player is not a reliable code. If you make a mistake, the sequence resets and should be entered again from the beginning.
The Find Gus Lightgun also handles a second randomised order after the later colour round. The same rule applies. Reread Belle’s dialogue instead of assuming the first sequence will repeat. This is one of the most useful troubleshooting distinctions in Stage 3: the colour recipes are fixed, while the generator orders can vary. The Lightgun is the tool for both systems, but only the colour side has a universal answer.
Take the Lightgun back to the Hallway
After completing the Laboratory, keep the Find Gus Lightgun selected in mind when revisiting Stage 2. Use it on the candle above the Hallway radio. That enables the hidden 3:00 clock reward once the repaired clock is set correctly and the lit candle is pulled. The resulting compartment contains a Starr Drop, making the tool part of an optional reward route as well as the main Stage 3 solution.
The repaired radio also reacts to the Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun. Zap the radio, then tune it to channel 10. This new interaction triggers a scare and removes the closet, revealing a different wall safe from the Damian Pin safe under the table. The new safe uses Red, Yellow, Purple and White and contains 100 Power Points. If your Hallway radio is still broken, finish its antenna and screwdriver steps before trying the Stage 3 interaction.
Lightgun not working
Start with the room state. A generator will not open a chamber just because it has been zapped if the correct mixture is missing, and a correct mixture will not open the chamber if the generator has not been zapped. Belle’s sequence will also fail if you copy somebody else’s random numbers. In the Hallway, the candle and radio bonuses assume the original Stage 2 clock and radio repairs are already complete.
If the Brawl Stars Find Gus Lightgun is missing from the inventory entirely, go back to the Laboratory bench and check all three component locations again. The drawer beneath the right bench is the easiest one to overlook because the piece is not sitting openly on the work surface. Once the tool is assembled and collected, it becomes the bridge between the main Laboratory solution and the two hidden Hallway rewards added with Stage 3.
