Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launches on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5 AM GMT in the UK. The update brings three launch Multiplayer maps, Grind and Drop Zone, the X01 DMZ facility, two Warzone maps and a redesigned 100-tier Battle Pass.
Backstab, Canyon and Shoot House arrive alongside Grind and Drop Zone. Warzone gets Hajin for Battle Royale and Zodiac for Resurgence, while the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 join the weapon pool. Here’s what launches on November 6, how the rewards work and what’s coming later.
When Does Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Start in the UK?

Activision has confirmed a midnight Eastern Time launch on November 6, which is 5 AM GMT in the UK. The start time applies across supported platforms.
Shipment joined the game on October 27, Possession on October 29 and Infected on October 30. These are already available before the November 6 season launch.
| Date | What’s arriving |
|---|---|
| October 27 | Shipment 6v6 map |
| October 29 | Possession mode |
| October 30 | Infected mode |
| November 6, 5 AM GMT | Season 1 Multiplayer, DMZ, Warzone and Battle Pass |
| Mid-season, date TBA | Ministry, Overflow and more |
Activision’s published start time is midnight Eastern on November 6, or 9 PM Pacific on November 5. Those are the same global release, not separate platform launches. The upcoming Warzone-specific roadmap is scheduled for Monday, November 2, with more details on Hajin and Zodiac before launch.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Multiplayer Maps
There are three medium-sized 6v6 maps at launch. Backstab is a snow-covered town with long sightlines and rooftop positions. Canyon blends open desert routes, caves and cliffside vantage points. Shoot House keeps its familiar three-lane layout but moves the action to snowy North Korea.
Ministry and Overflow follow mid-season. Ministry centres on an embassy damaged during the Global Peace Summit; Overflow surrounds a factory and nearby farmland. Additional maps are also planned. The fixed-layout Kill Block: Crash combination joins more Core Multiplayer playlists.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Modes: Grind and Drop Zone
In Grind, defeated opponents drop dog tags. Pick them up and take them to either Bank to score, but you’ll lose any you’re carrying if you’re killed. Drop Zone is a fight for a rotating objective, with Killstreak packages periodically dropping over the contested area.
Gauntlet 1v1 is a limited-time Gunfight variant in the Wager Match Event. Players stake event Trophies, and the winner stays on for another duel. It doesn’t involve real-money rewards. Counter Attack, which involves attacking and defending Comm Stations, comes mid-season.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 DMZ: X01 Weapons Facility
X01 is a former GRANIT Arms weapons facility entered through Hajin in DMZ. Its enclosed layout includes cargo bays, vehicle depots, production areas, underground laboratories and a sealed Deep Vault. Expect tight passages, multiple floors and less open space than an outdoor deployment.
Ghost guides squads through new X01 Orders as the 100 Spirits NK faction and other threats patrol the facility. In the Threat Briefing event, players take on The Captain, a Juggernaut commander, and extract helmet fragments. A separate challenge in Hajin involves gathering parts from a Battle Tank over several deployments.
X01 has new equipment and extraction points that can close during a run. Exact escape steps will have to be learned in the live facility. The Forward Operating Base also gains a Battle Pass and Store Station. Season 1 BlackCell owners can access a vendor selling extra gear for DMZ Cash.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Warzone: Hajin and Zodiac

Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 adds Hajin for Battle Royale and Zodiac for Resurgence. Zodiac features a DRC Advanced Systems facility and a train running through the map. Verdansk and Rebirth Island remain available too. Activision’s dedicated Warzone roadmap is scheduled for November 2.
Modern Warfare 4 weapons and progression arrive in Warzone. Guns from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 remain in the Legacy tab, but without their old custom loadouts or full Gunsmith editing. Eligible blueprints keep their attachments. Our Warzone weapons guide covers the integration.
Warzone’s Operator Skin Toggle lets you show other players wearing older or crossover skins as Modern Warfare 4 Operators on your screen. It’s off by default and doesn’t change anyone else’s selected skin. Warzone support on PS4 and Xbox One ends when Season 1 launches.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 New Weapons and Unlock Tiers
| Weapon | Type | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Cronen Osprey | Assault Rifle | Free Battle Pass tier 16 |
| CSG-35 | SMG | Free Battle Pass tier 36 |
| JAK 12 | Shotgun | Later in Season 1 |
| ZLR Talonhawk | Melee weapon | Later in Season 1 |
The Cronen Osprey fires at 882 RPM with a 30-round magazine. Its recoil climbs upwards and to the right, so controlled bursts can help at range. The CSG-35 fires at 1,200 RPM from a 28-round magazine and favours close-range fights. Their separate blueprints appear at tiers 87 and 73; the base weapons unlock at free tiers 16 and 36.
Season events will also offer the Hyeon Auto Apex Attachment for the Hyeon Burst and the Kastov 545 Apex Attachment for the Kastov 762. These are separate from the two Battle Pass weapons.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Battle Pass: Price and 100 Tiers
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 uses a linear 100-tier Battle Pass with free and paid rewards, including guns, Operator skins, blueprints, COD Points, XP tokens and DMZ Survival Kits. The premium pass costs 1,100 COD Points, or 2,400 COD Points for the Battle Pass Bundle. BlackCell is a separate upgrade.
Premium owners get immediate rewards and a 10% Battle Pass XP boost. Finishing all 100 tiers earns bonuses including Blix’s Vantage skin, the Blue Viper Hyeon Burst blueprint and 200 COD Points. Tier 100 itself awards the Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Premium Catch-Up Explained
The premium Battle Pass includes catch-up for anyone purchasing late or falling behind. It automatically brings eligible players up to the reward corresponding to the current day of the season, capped at day 50. It doesn’t complete the whole 100-tier track.
For example, a player buying premium on day 20 who hasn’t progressed that far can be caught up to that day’s reward. Someone buying on day 60 gets the day-50 catch-up cap, not an automatic tier-60 unlock. Progress beyond that still needs to be earned. Both new base weapons remain available on the free track.
What Is Coming in Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Reloaded?
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Reloaded brings Ministry and Overflow as the named mid-season maps. Counter Attack, additional playlists, more events, the JAK 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon are planned later in the season. Activision is saving the exact Reloaded date and additional map names for its mid-season update.
