COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed gives each team a high-value target. One player becomes a mech-equipped Leader visible to both sides. When that player is eliminated, they drop a dog tag worth far more points than usual, and a teammate takes over as the next Leader.
The limited-time mode arrived during Season 9, Vampires vs Werewolves, which launched on 14 October 2026. Dog tags still decide the score, but you need to know when to protect your Leader and when to go after the opposing one. Those decisions make this more than a simple variation of Kill Confirmed.
COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed rules and scoring
Each team has one Leader at a time. Both sides can identify that player, so the Leader cannot rely on going unnoticed. They need cover and teammates close enough to help when opponents push.
A defeated Leader leaves behind a much more valuable dog tag. That makes the ground around the elimination a key part of the fight. Get the tag before the enemy can, rather than assuming the elimination alone has earned the points.

How COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed differs from regular Kill Confirmed
| Rule | Regular Kill Confirmed | Season 9 Leader mode |
|---|---|---|
| Leader | No designated Leader | One visible mech-equipped Leader per team |
| High-value elimination | Normal dog tags | Leader drops a tag worth significantly more points |
| Role transfers | Not applicable | Another teammate becomes Leader after a Leader dies |
| Other players | Normal mode roles | Can gain special abilities over the match |
The difference is where you spend your attention. Normal Kill Confirmed is about collecting tags across the map; this version adds a visible Leader whose elimination creates a much bigger scoring opportunity. Regular players gain special abilities too.
Activision doesn’t give a specific Leader tag value, winning score or map list in its Season 9 announcement. Check the rules displayed in the live playlist for those details.
What happens when a Leader is eliminated?
Another player on the same team becomes Leader. That means each elimination creates two things to watch: the valuable tag on the ground and the newly designated Leader.
Try not to leave your Leader alone on an exposed route. If they’re taken out, contest the dropped tag immediately. You can stop a big scoring swing even after losing the firefight.
What abilities can ordinary Operators use?
Regular Operators gain special abilities as a match progresses. These are intended to give ordinary teammates more options against the mech-equipped Leaders, so pay attention when a new ability becomes available.
The announcement doesn’t list every ability or give a fixed unlock order. Use the prompts in your match to see what’s available instead of planning around an unconfirmed ability timer.

How to win COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed as Leader or teammate
As Leader: stick close enough to your team that they can help during a push. Avoid unnecessary solo runs into open lanes. The other side knows you’re the target, and losing you leaves them a high-value tag.
As a teammate: keep the Leader within reach when possible, collect enemy tags and use your available abilities to win fights around the objective. A good elimination is one your team can turn into points.
Against the enemy Leader: push with someone who can collect the tag. Shooting the target from across the map is less useful if the opposing team can recover the valuable drop first.
Where to find COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed
Open Multiplayer and look at the currently featured or limited-time mode choices. COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed is a seasonal playlist, not a permanently available version of the standard mode, so it may be missing when it isn’t scheduled.
If the mode isn’t shown in Multiplayer, check the featured playlists and any date displayed for the event. The Season 9 update also introduced optional pre-downloads, but those downloads don’t make an inactive playlist playable.
When does the limited-time mode end?
Activision describes COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed as a limited-time mode but hasn’t given a separate end date or hour in the Season 9 announcement. If the mode shows a countdown in game, use that rather than treating the season’s launch date as an expiry date.
COD Mobile Leader’s Kill Confirmed doesn’t require you to join Fang Wars or collect Howlbones. The free Grav Assault Rifle is a separate Battle Pass unlock, not a reward for playing this mode.
