Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing: Tank and Captain Parts

Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing is a Season 1 event that asks players to hunt Commanders and extract with their parts for escalating rewards. The two named challenges involve an NK Battle Tank in Hajin and The Captain, a Juggernaut inside the X01 Black Site.

The whole squad receives event progress when one member extracts successfully with a Commander part. You don’t need every teammate to carry the same item. But defeating the boss without bringing the part home doesn’t complete the event’s extraction requirement.

Choose the designated Commander target in the current Events menu, deploy to its map, recover the required part and use an available exfil. Once your team has the item, protect the carrier rather than assuming a successful elimination is enough.

The event involves collecting pieces across several deployments. For Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing, a safe extraction with the current part is what moves the squad forward. Use the event tracker to follow how many recovered parts count towards your next reward.

Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing: Hajin Battle Tank

The Battle Tank challenge takes place in Hajin, where squads hunt an NK main battle tank and collect tank parts. Activision confirms one part per deployment, with progressively better rewards as more parts are secured over multiple runs.

The event tracker will show each reward milestone and the current target when the challenge is active. You can only collect one tank part per deployment for this challenge, so plan to return across several runs.

Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing: X01 Captain

The Captain is a Juggernaut Commander with an elite guard inside the X01 Black Site. His Threat Briefing challenge requires collecting sections of the Juggernaut’s helmet and successfully extracting with them.

That objective differs from simply locating The Captain on the Boss Board. The boss encounter is only the start; securing the helmet section and leaving alive is how the squad earns event progress. Our X01 bosses guide covers the named enemies.

Does the whole squad get Threat Briefing credit?

Yes. Activision says that every squad member receives credit if any teammate extracts with a part collected from a Commander. This applies to the event progression, not necessarily to every piece of ordinary loot inside the area.

If one teammate has recovered the required part, escort them towards a valid extraction. If X01’s changing exits begin to close, a longer detour can jeopardise the objective. Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing rewards the part reaching exfil, not how many optional encounters you complete afterwards.

How to prepare for the X01 challenge

X01 is a former weapons facility with cargo bays, vehicle depots, underground laboratories, production lines and a sealed Deep Vault. Its multi-level routes make it very different from an open-air Hajin deployment. Ghost issues new Orders, while the FOB Boss Board provides enemy intel.

Prepare your Active Duty Operator for a long indoor fight, check armour and ammunition before entering, and decide which squad member will carry the part. The Black Site entry and extraction guide covers the confirmed access and exits.

Resupply Run is a different event

Resupply Run also appears on the Season 1 DMZ event roadmap. It asks players to gather specified items at Points of Interest and trade them for supplies such as Self Revives and 3-Plate Carriers.

Resupply Run has its own item objectives and trade rewards. Follow those rather than the Commander-part route. Don’t mix its scavenging route with Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing, where the objective is extracting parts from Commander targets.

When does Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing begin?

Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 starts on November 6 at 5 AM GMT, when the X01 facility opens. Threat Briefing is included among the early-season DMZ activities, but the roadmap doesn’t give a separate exact start time for every challenge.

Check the Events menu after the season update for which targets are currently active, their collection counters and the prizes tied to each milestone. The Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Threat Briefing objectives end with a successful extraction carrying the Commander part.
