WoW Forever Camping system lets players build a shared campfire, add profession-made features and gain buffs by resting together. A Basic Campfire supports three additional objects, with only one contributed by each nearby player. Sit or craft near the fire for at least one minute to gain the benefits. All camp features share a one-hour cooldown.
Blizzard has confirmed the exact items for every profession, along with their skill levels and which class buffs they cannot stack with. That makes the feature useful when travelling without the right class in your group, rather than just a decoration beside the road.
WoW Forever Camping system: how to build a Basic Campfire

Learn Cooking and make a Basic Campfire at Cooking skill 1. Players standing nearby can contribute profession-made features, but each person may place only one. The Basic Campfire holds up to three objects, so bring friends with different professions if you want more than one type of benefit.
For the WoW Forever Camping system, a camp is a shared outdoor rest stop. You can benefit from somebody else’s profession item without knowing that trade yourself. Once the objects are placed, sit or craft by the campfire for a minute to gain their effects.
WoW Forever Camping system: all profession campsite items and buffs
| Profession | Camp item | Skill | Effect and exclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cooking | Basic Campfire | 1 | Cooking and three camp feature slots |
| First Aid | First Aid Kit | 20 | 3 to 56 Stamina; not with Power Word: Fortitude |
| Fishing | Fishing Bowl | 20 | 8% all stats; not with Blessing of Kings |
| Alchemy | Mana Well | 20 | 10 to 29 mana every 5 seconds; not with Blessing of Wisdom |
| Blacksmithing | Sharpening Wheel | 20 | 6 to 34 Strength; not with Strength of Earth Totem |
| Enchanting | Enchanted Lute | 20 | 28 to 260 Armor; up to 13 all stats and 22 resistances; not with Mark of the Wild |
| Engineering | Reagent Bot | 20 | Nearby players may buy reagents |
| Herbalism | Incense Candle | 20 | 2 to 25 Intellect; not with Arcane Intellect |
| Leatherworking | Camp Tent | 20 | Rested XP equal to 5% of a level, subject to the cap |
| Skinning | Camp Chair | 20 | 2% critical chance; not with Moonkin Aura |
| Tailoring | Faction Banner | 20 | 14 to 32 Spirit to same-faction players; not with Divine Spirit |
The number ranges scale with your level. First Aid supplies Stamina, Blacksmithing Strength and Herbalism Intellect, while Engineering’s Reagent Bot lets travellers purchase supplies. Enchanting’s Lute covers Armor, stats and resistances. These are different utilities, so check which one your party actually needs.
A key rule in the WoW Forever Camping system is that profession buffs marked as exclusive with a class ability do not stack with that ability. For example, the First Aid Kit does not add extra Stamina on top of Power Word: Fortitude. Fishing’s Bowl cannot stack with Blessing of Kings, and the other exclusions appear in the table.
How to unlock camp items at profession skill 20
Most first-tier camp objects require profession skill 20. Blizzard says their first versions can be obtained through quests in starter zones or purchased from an appropriate profession trainer. Visit a trainer in a major city or the world, and use the Professions panel (K) to inspect learned recipes and materials.
More advanced profession features needing skill 140 or higher can drop in dungeons and raids. This doesn’t mean every camp recipe is sold by a trainer. Check the specific profession and item before heading to a vendor or planning a crafting route.
How long to sit, how long buffs last and cooldowns
Rest or craft near the campfire for one minute to activate its buffs. The feature cooldown is one hour, shared between camping items, so you cannot endlessly alternate different camp objects to get around the wait. Blizzard’s Legacy perk Field Guide can shorten this cooldown.
The WoW Forever Camping system also works with the Legacy perk Permanence, which extends the duration of party, raid and camping buffs. The Reagent Economy perk removes crafting material requirements for tier-one camp features. See our Legacy System guide for the complete perk list.

WoW Forever Camping system: three, five or ten camp objects?
The Basic Campfire supports three objects. As Cooking improves, players can learn upgraded campfires that support five or even ten features. Other profession upgrades include convenience objects such as an Alchemy Laboratory or Tanning Rack. More room lets a larger group bring a wider set of items.
Those larger fires don’t erase the one-object-per-player contribution rule described for a normal campsite. If your group wants several features, coordinate who is bringing which profession item before finding a spot to settle.
Does a Leatherworking Camp Tent replace an inn?
No. The Camp Tent gives extra rested experience equal to 5% of a level, but no benefit if your existing rested pool already meets that amount. It is a useful rest bonus during travel, not an unlimited source of free experience.
The WoW Forever Camping system takes place outdoors, so your surroundings still matter. On a PvP ruleset another faction can discover the campsite and attack. Choose a quiet spot if you want the entire minute of rest without a fight.
Best way to use the WoW Forever Camping system
Bring complementary buffs rather than doubling up on the same class effects. If your group already has Power Word: Fortitude, the First Aid Kit won’t add another Stamina bonus, so a different profession item may be more worthwhile. A Reagent Bot can help when everyone needs supplies.
The WoW Forever Camping system begins with Forever’s launch on 4 November 2026. Start with the Basic Campfire, allow one object per player, rest for a minute and keep the hour-long cooldown in mind. Future upgrades make larger camps possible, but the basic rules work from the early levels onward.
