Warzone Legendary Loot Crates: How to Open 2 in One Match

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates are the orange high-rarity Supply Boxes that matter for one of the current Season 6 Week 3 challenges. The requirement is stricter than simply opening six Legendary boxes: you need to open two Legendary Loot Crates in a single match, and then repeat that two-crate result in three different matches. If you only find one before a match ends, that match does not satisfy one of the three required repetitions.

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates do not have one guaranteed permanent room that can be farmed every game. Loot distribution changes between matches, so the reliable approach is to land where you can search many boxes quickly, prioritise dense points of interest and rotate early if the opening area is dry. The challenge rewards speed of looting and survival long enough to find a second orange box more than it rewards fighting.

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates: what counts for the Week 3 challenge

The important word is open. The safest way to complete the objective is to personally interact with both orange Legendary crates in the same match rather than relying on a teammate to open one for the squad. Ordinary gray Supply Boxes do not count as Legendary, and special contract containers use their own box types, so prioritise the clearly orange Legendary Supply Boxes when you are working on the weekly counter.

After you open the second eligible box, keep playing normally but make a mental note that one match is complete. Warzone Legendary Loot Crates must be opened in pairs across three matches, so opening four in one match does not replace the need for the other two matches. The weekly tracker is measuring repeated match conditions, not a lifetime total of six crates.

Where to look for Legendary Loot Crates

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates are more realistic to find when you land in loot-dense areas with many buildings, containers and high-tier loot opportunities. The exact spawn is random, so a route with twenty chances is more valuable than a route built around one box somebody found in a previous lobby. Listen for Supply Box audio, clear the building methodically and move once the area stops producing useful loot.

High-value areas can improve the quality of the loot you encounter, but they also attract other squads. If your only goal is the weekly challenge, a slightly quieter POI with many searchable interiors can be better than the hottest named location on the map. Dying with one Legendary box opened is wasted progress because you still needed the second box in that same match.

Fastest route to two Legendary crates in one match

The fastest Warzone Legendary Loot Crates route begins before the first gunfight. Land on a dense cluster, open boxes immediately, and do not spend several minutes holding one rooftop if the first area has no orange crate. Rotate to the next loot-heavy cluster while the lobby is still spread out and unopened buildings remain available.

In squads, communicate when somebody finds an orange box and let the player chasing the challenge open it if individual progress matters. Avoid opening every box on autopilot for a teammate who still needs the interaction. If two squad members are working on the same challenge, they may need separate crate opens, so call the box out before touching it.

How to stack this with other Week 3 Warzone challenges

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates can be combined with the Week 3 Assault Rifle and ADS kill objectives because both can progress naturally after the looting phase. Equip or pick up an Assault Rifle you can control, take normal fights while aiming down sights and let the crate search happen during rotations. Bounty Contracts and Target Uplinks can also be added once you have enough loot to stop searching every room.

Do not let a contract pull you away from the second Legendary crate if the weekly box objective is the priority. A Bounty can be completed in another match, while a one-crate game gives you no completed repetition. Finish the pair first, then spend the rest of the match stacking kills, contracts or Special Weapon eliminations.

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates not counting

If Warzone Legendary Loot Crates do not register, check whether both were opened in the same match and whether the crates were actually Legendary orange Supply Boxes. Opening one Legendary box in two different matches does not satisfy the condition. The challenge requires the two-box condition to occur three separate times.

Also check the Week 3 counter after a match where you personally opened both boxes. If that match registers, repeat the same process twice more rather than changing your route. Warzone Legendary Loot Crates are random enough that there is no honest guaranteed spawn shortcut, so the strongest strategy is simply maximising the number of unopened loot opportunities you can search while staying alive.

Warzone Legendary Loot Crates are easier to chase when you treat the first minutes as a loot route instead of immediately committing to every nearby gunfight.

Once two Warzone Legendary Loot Crates have counted in the same match, stop over-looting and use the rest of the game to work on the other Warzone Week 3 objectives.
