Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks: How to Start Them and Get Better Rewards

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks are timed Zombies objectives started from the strange T.E.D.D. console that periodically phases into the map. Season 6 Week 3 asks players to complete five of them, so simply activating five consoles is not enough. Each Task gives you a specific objective under time pressure, and the reward improves in rarity depending on how well you complete the assignment.

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks are the Zombies evolution of the old S.A.M. Trial idea, not the Season 6 Multiplayer mode called T.E.D.D. Trials. The names are similar, but the systems are different. In Round-Based Zombies, you interact with the T.E.D.D. Task machine, accept a timed challenge and complete its condition while the round continues around you.

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks: how to start a Task

The T.E.D.D. console begins appearing once a match has progressed into the early rounds, with current live guides placing the first normal appearance around Round 9. The machine is marked when available and uses the oversized T.E.D.D. head, so it is much easier to spot once you know what you are looking for. Interact with the console and pay the activation cost to receive the timed objective.

Current live runs use a 500 Essence activation and a short timed window for Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks. The objective can ask for things such as eliminating Zombies in a marked area, using a particular firing style or meeting another combat condition. Read the task text before spending equipment or activating a Field Upgrade, because the fastest way to fail is to keep killing Zombies in a way the trial is not asking for.

How T.E.D.D. Task rewards work

Activision confirms that Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks scale their rewards according to performance. Better completion earns higher-rarity rewards, with the reward pool including equipment, tools and random Perks. That means a Task is useful even after the Week 3 challenge is finished, particularly in a run where the reward can save Essence or replace an upgrade you were planning to buy.

Do not throw the entire run away chasing a perfect reward tier. If the task requires standing in a marked area and the position becomes dangerous, staying alive is more valuable than forcing a mastery result. The Week 3 objective only needs successful completions, so a clean clear is enough for weekly progress even when the reward is not the best possible rarity.

Fastest way to complete five T.E.D.D. Tasks for Week 3

The safest way to finish five Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks is to accept them whenever they appear during a normal Zombies run instead of trying to build an entire match around one console. You can simultaneously work on the Week 3 Rampage Inducer rounds, 150 SMG critical kills and 6,000 Salvage objective, turning the five Tasks into one layer of progress rather than five separate sessions.

Keep 500 Essence available before approaching the machine so you do not miss an activation window, and avoid ending the round at the exact moment you are trying to set up a positional objective. If Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks asks for kills in a marked space, train the remaining Zombies first, then lead them into the zone once you have enough room to control the fight.

Can T.E.D.D. Tasks work with Rampage Inducer active?

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks can be used alongside the Rampage Inducer. Treyarch previously fixed an issue that prevented a T.E.D.D. Task trial from being accepted with Rampage Inducer active under certain Relic combinations, which is useful context for Week 3 because both systems appear in the same weekly set. You therefore do not need to abandon the ten-round Rampage objective simply to work on T.E.D.D. progress.

The trade-off is difficulty. Rampage makes Zombies spawn faster, move faster and behave more aggressively, which can make a tight timed task harder to control. If you are failing the same type of task repeatedly, turning Rampage off after the ten required rounds is a sensible way to finish the remaining Task completions safely.

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks not tracking

If Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks progress is not moving, make sure the challenge says complete five Tasks and that you are actually reaching a successful Task result. Paying the Essence and starting the timer is not a completion. Stay with the objective until the reward chest or completion state appears, then check the Week 3 counter after the match or at the next safe opportunity.

Also distinguish Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks from Multiplayer T.E.D.D. Trials. Week 3 is asking for the Zombies activity. If you are in the 6v6 Season 6 T.E.D.D. Trials playlist, those match tasks are part of a different mode and should not be assumed to satisfy the Zombies weekly objective.

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks are worth accepting throughout normal Zombies progression because the reward can improve the run while the weekly counter moves in the background.

Black Ops 7 T.E.D.D. Tasks are also easier to manage when you leave enough Essence and space between rounds to react to whatever timed condition appears next.
