Titan Quest II masteries are Earth, Storm, Warfare, Rogue, Forge and Spirit. You combine two to create your hero’s class, resulting in 15 different pairings. Each offers unique skills, and modifiers can change how an ability behaves rather than simply adding damage.

Earth commands fire and stone, Storm uses lightning and frost, Warfare focuses on weapons, Rogue uses poison and piercing strikes, Forge develops traps and automatons, and Spirit commands undead allies. Picking a first Mastery is about choosing how you enjoy fighting, not finding a mandatory strongest class.

All six Titan Quest II masteries explained

Earth is for players who love fire and stone magic. Its area attacks suit groups of enemies. Combined with Warfare, it adds elemental damage to a weapon character. With Storm, it creates a more spell-focused approach.

Storm mixes lightning and frost with enemy control. The idea is to dictate the fight rather than only outdamage everything. Pair it with Forge and the game’s traps can work alongside lightning effects.

Warfare specialises in physical attacks. It’s a straightforward choice for players who want to enter melee, dodge enemy attacks and strike with weapons. Some modifiers can turn a sweeping strike into a channeled whirlwind.

Forge, Spirit and Rogue among the Titan Quest II masteries

Forge enhances your equipment and brings blade traps, sentry turrets and automatons to combat. You can strengthen weapons and armour while also preparing the battlefield. It offers a different rhythm from a character built around casting spells directly.

Spirit lets you summon the dead and fuel magic with your hero’s life force. The publisher uses Spirit and Rogue as an example pairing, letting summons fight while you attack enemies from the shadows.

Rogue specialises in poison and piercing. It suits precise, agile attacks and combines well with summoned helpers or elemental control. Rogue and Warfare are both weapon-friendly, but focus on different offensive techniques.

How to pair two Titan Quest II masteries

You select exactly two Masteries. Earth and Storm count as one unique pairing whichever you choose first, so the six options result in 15 combinations. The skill modifiers and equipment you use then create further variety within those classes.

Our class combinations guide describes all 15 pairs individually. Forge plus Storm is one example of mechanical traps with lightning, while Spirit plus Rogue gives you undead summons alongside poison and piercing attacks.

Which Titan Quest II masteries should beginners choose?

Warfare is a clear first choice if you enjoy weapon attacks. Earth fits anyone who likes fire spells and striking several enemies at once. Storm is appealing if you prefer elemental damage and controlling enemy movement. None of these choices locks you into one permanent build.

Forge and Spirit require more interest in traps or summons. Both are in the current PC Early Access build, so you can experiment with them ahead of the January 2027 full release.

Skill modifiers and attributes for Titan Quest II masteries

Your attributes are Might, Agility, Vigor and Knowledge. Equipment and stat choices influence how effectively your combination plays. Modifiers can change the behaviour of a skill, not just its raw numbers, so one pairing can support several distinct builds.

You can also respec skills and attributes by paying Gold. That makes it possible to change course after trying a new ability or discovering that your two Masteries work better together in another way. See the respec guide for the reset system.

Are all Titan Quest II masteries available in Early Access?

Yes. By October 2026 the six listed Masteries are playable on PC, including Forge and Spirit. The developer is working on additional Mastery changes for 1.0, but these are the six specialisations advertised for the completed January 19 launch.

If you’re picking a new hero, begin with the type of fighting you enjoy, add a second Mastery that complements it, then experiment with modifiers and equipment as your character develops.
