Titan Quest II Respec: How to Reset Skills and Attributes

Titan Quest II respec lets you change your skills and attributes by paying Gold, rather than forcing you to restart whenever a build stops working. The game uses two Masteries per hero, with modifiers that can change how individual abilities function, so experimenting is a major part of creating your class.

Respeccing is useful if you’ve spent points on an ability you rarely use, want to try a different modifier or need to adjust your four attributes for new equipment. The cost is paid in the game’s currency, making it a choice about where to spend Gold rather than buying a separate service outside the game.

How to use Titan Quest II respec

For skills, open the Mastery menu and select Respec Mode. For attributes, visit a Ritual Shrine in town and choose the Ritual of Athena to reset Might, Agility, Vigor and Knowledge. The game charges Gold for respecs, so check the amount shown before confirming. You can then reallocate your points to the skills, modifiers or attributes you want your current build to use.

Check the Gold cost shown for each action. Skill resets take place in the Mastery menu, while the attribute ritual refunds your allocated attributes together. This is separate from crafting costs and doesn’t alter the items you’ve already found. Think about the new skills you want to learn before spending the currency.

Can you reset skills using Titan Quest II respec?

Yes. Skill points can be reassigned so you can change which active abilities and passive bonuses you’ve invested in. This is helpful when the second Mastery opens a better combination than the one you originally planned.

For example, a Warfare hero who adds Storm might want to include elemental control rather than continuing with only weapon abilities. A Forge character can shift between traps, turrets and direct equipment enhancement. A respec allows those changes without starting the campaign again.

Can you reset attributes with Titan Quest II respec?

For an attribute reset, travel to a Ritual Shrine and use Athena’s Reset Attributes option. It refunds points from Might, Agility, Vigor and Knowledge together, so plan where you will reallocate them before confirming the Gold cost.

Check the attribute requirements shown on your equipment before redistributing points. Removing points from an attribute used to equip a favourite item can leave that gear unusable until you rebuild the required stat.

Does Titan Quest II respec change your two Masteries?

The respec feature changes your skill and attribute investments. Your choice of two Masteries determines which skill trees are available, so don’t treat a points reset as automatically swapping your entire class to a different pair. Use the class combinations guide to understand each pairing before choosing.

A player who has already selected Earth and Storm can try several different combinations of spells and modifiers within those trees. That is the strength of the respec system, even when you keep the same two broad specialisations.

How much Gold does Titan Quest II respec cost?

The game requires an in-game Gold payment when you reset investments. Look at the quoted amount in the respec interface before confirming, especially if you’ve been saving currency to upgrade equipment or improve its affixes.

A Titan Quest II respec also competes with crafting for your Gold. Repeated changes to a piece of equipment cost progressively more, so settle on your main skills and attributes before spending heavily on affix upgrades.

When should you use Titan Quest II respec?

Respec after you’ve learned a new skill, found equipment with useful properties or unlocked your second Mastery and want to rethink the combination. A small adjustment can sometimes do more for a build than chasing a new item.

Modifiers can reshape abilities rather than simply increasing their damage. The publisher’s example is a wide swinging attack transformed into a channeled whirlwind. Our skill modifiers guide explains how that extra customisation works.
