The Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module weekly reward guarantees at least one Transcendent-tier option in The First Descendant. That’s the major upgrade introduced with Update 1.4.5: earlier Onslaught weekly bonuses had Rare or Ultimate option guarantees, while the toughest stage now gives players a chance to start with a higher-tier stat.
There is one catch with the Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module. The Transcendent guarantee belongs to the weekly reward, not every regular mission completion. A normal Stage 5 clear has a separate 45.5% chance of awarding two Ancestors Module Loot items. Here’s how to unlock the activity, claim the weekly bonus and decide whether Stage 4 or Stage 5 is better for your current build.
How to earn the Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module
Complete Stage 4 once to unlock Stage 5, then enter via Tactical Transport Control in Albion or the World Map’s content menu. Public Operations require 93,300 Arche Activity, although Private Operations can be started below that level. Six waves lead into a final Colossus, so you need a full successful clear rather than just finishing an individual wave.
The weekly Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module reward is one Ancestors Module Loot III with at least one Transcendent-tier option. You also receive 130 Superconductive Cooling Units and one Vulgus Bio Data Chip in the published weekly package. These materials make the reward useful even if the module’s random stat combination isn’t perfect.
The shared Onslaught bonus system allows four claims each week. A claim made in Stage 4 uses part of the same weekly allowance, so check what’s remaining before planning a Stage 5 session. See our Stage 5 unlock and rewards guide for the rest of its entry rules.

What does a guaranteed Transcendent option mean?
For the weekly Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module, at least one of the item’s rolled stat options reaches Transcendent tier. The guarantee does not say every stat must be Transcendent, or that the highest-tier stat will be the one your character most needs. Inspect the whole item before investing further materials.
An excellent stat on a poor overall combination may be less useful than a more balanced module. Your reward includes cooling units for option readjustment, but they should be spent on an item you intend to keep. Our Ancestors Module Fragments guide explains progression materials, and readjustment covers changing options.
Onslaught Stage 4 versus Stage 5 weekly rewards
| Onslaught stage | Guaranteed minimum Ancestors Module options |
|---|---|
| Stage 1 | At least two Rare-tier options |
| Stage 2 | At least one Ultimate-tier option |
| Stage 3 | At least two Ultimate-tier options |
| Stage 4 | At least two Ultimate-tier options |
| Stage 5 | At least one Transcendent-tier option |
These guarantees come from Nexon’s official Onslaught launch, Stage 4 expansion and 1.4.5 update. The Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module has the highest minimum option tier, but Stage 4 still gives two guaranteed Ultimate-tier options. If Stage 5 is too difficult to complete consistently, Stage 4 can remain a better use of your limited weekly attempts.
The four-claim limit is shared, so you can’t collect four Stage 4 bonus modules and then claim another four Stage 5 ones in the same week. The extra rewards are intended to reward eligible Onslaught clears, not create a separate unlimited farm for every stage.
Normal completion chance: 45.5% for two modules
Completing Stage 5 outside the weekly bonus can still produce Ancestors Module Loot. The normal reward table lists a 45.5% chance for two items. That rate belongs to the ordinary reward entry, not the Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module with its guaranteed Transcendent option.
The regular completion table also lists 367 cooling units, around 5.17 million Gold and 248,000 Kuiper Shards. It gives a 29.4% chance for two Vulgus Bio Data Chips and a 10.7% chance for Transcendent Weapon Loot. All of those are separate reward entries, so don’t interpret the percentages as the chance for one perfect module roll.
Our Cradle of Evolution rewards guide covers an alternative module farm. The daily weapon rotation boost changes weapon drop chances in selected activities and isn’t a guarantee of extra Ancestors Module stats.

How to finish Stage 5 for the weekly module
Stage 5 requires more than damage. Tyrants now move towards the Energy Concentration Point, costing 10% Energy if they enter. Barricades can stop their movement, and defeating a Tyrant also clears nearby normal and elite Vulgus. A reliable Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module farm protects the point before chasing the final boss.
The Colossus appears after Wave 6, and large enemies have added Weak Point Damage Resistance. Prepare a loadout for both waves and boss damage. Our Monster Hunter assault rifle guide explains its special effects, while the Battlefield Monster Hunter guide covers a separate buff.
October also changed several characters. Read the Freyna, Gley and Enzo guides before committing to an older build, particularly because Freyna and Gley were adjusted again in patch 1.4.6.
When should you farm Stage 5 instead of Stage 4?
Prioritise the Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module when you can finish the six-wave activity and Colossus reliably. The chance to start with a guaranteed Transcendent-tier option is the strongest incentive, alongside the ordinary rewards and weekly materials. If the harder run frequently fails, Stage 4’s Ultimate-tier guarantee can provide steadier progression.
Once you have a module, inspect the options and compare them with the gear you already use. The Onslaught Stage 5 Ancestors Module guarantee improves the minimum tier of one option; it doesn’t remove the decisions about which stats to keep or readjust. Check how many weekly claims remain before starting another Stage 5 run; further clears use the ordinary reward table once the weekly bonuses are exhausted.
