THE FINALS Season 12 launched on October 20, 2026, under the name PRIME TIME. It adds the Light Infiltrator, the Solo Showdown tournament, a rebuilt Sponsor system, and the Frights Galore Halloween wheel. Embark has also removed VR currency and transformed Arena destruction.
There’s plenty to get used to before your next Cashout. Sponsor rewards now come from Contracts, the old VR currency is gone, and a redesigned Side Panel puts loadouts and progression within easier reach. Here’s what changed and which rewards are worth chasing first.
THE FINALS Season 12 PRIME TIME changes
Monaco, Seoul, Skyway Stadium and Las Vegas Stadium have revised routes, interiors and lighting. The Las Vegas Sandstorm map returns and the original Vegas layout leaves the rotation for now. An opening Cashout playlist showcases the four reworked Arenas.
Buildings in THE FINALS Season 12 can sag, swing or partly collapse as they take damage. Explosions can produce Blast Waves that push loose objects around, while debris forms obstacles and smoke responds to the space around it. These changes affect cover and movement during real firefights, not just the scenery.
THE FINALS Season 12 Infiltrator abilities
In THE FINALS Season 12, the Infiltrator joins the Light Playstyle. Its True Sight Specialization reveals opponents through smoke, including cloaked and disguised contestants. Mimic Device lets you scan an object and disguise yourself as it. Translocator marks an object you can swap positions with while within range.
Embark hasn’t supplied exact ranges or cooldown figures for these new abilities in its patch notes. Our Infiltrator guide covers the mechanics that have actually been confirmed.
THE FINALS Season 12 Solo Showdown tournament
Solo Showdown is a beta tournament for 12 individual contestants. The four players with the least Cash are eliminated after round one, and another four leave after round two. The final four play a third round, with the highest Cash earner crowned champion. Each round uses one of eight randomly selected mini-modes.
The eight options are Blast Off!, Heavy Hitters, Boom Brawl, Slam-a-Rama, Sniper Standoff, Winch Wars, Turbo Tussle and One and Gunned. There is no leaderboard at launch; Embark plans to add one later. Our Solo Showdown breakdown explains all eight.
How the new Sponsor Journey works
Play four matches to unlock Sponsors, choose one from the main menu, then activate a Challenge. Each Challenge consists of three to five Contracts. Completing one lets you return to your Sponsor and claim cosmetic rewards, documents or audio logs.
You can switch Sponsors and Challenges, but only your active Challenge advances. World Tour progression now depends on Fans, earned through regular gameplay, seasonal events and your current Sponsor’s Signature Plays. What replaces VR currency?
VRs have been removed. Weapons and gadgets now unlock automatically or with their parent Playstyle through Playstyle Tokens. Your missing VR balance is therefore an intended change, not a failed account sync. Embark hasn’t announced a refund or conversion. See our VR removal guide for what replaces it.
THE FINALS Season 12 Halloween tickets and rewards
Frights Galore contains a wheel with 20 prizes. Complete daily Contracts for up to three tickets per day, then spin the wheel. Collecting enough prizes earns the Underworld Outcast Outfit. The official notes don’t give the whole prize list or a numeric threshold for the outfit, so check the event screen for those details.
Separately, the Bebe the Barricade Twitch campaign runs until November 5: watch one hour for the Meet Bebe Sticker, two hours for the Pocket Bebe Charm and four hours for Bebe. The Halloween guide and Twitch Drops guide cover the two methods.
THE FINALS Season 12 Battle Pass
The Season 12 Premium Battle Pass offers up to 106 rewards and 1,650 earnable Multibucks. Ultimate adds 12 rewards, 20 levels and a 25% Match XP boost; its advertised Multibucks total is 2,650, with 1,000 granted immediately. Those are paid benefits, unlike the Halloween tickets or Twitch Drops.
The store also has paid PRIME TIME bundles, including Dead Certain and Bog Standard. Xbox Game Pass members may qualify for a separate Pretty Hostile Welcome Pack with 500 Multibucks and extra XP, depending on their subscription. That’s not a paid store bundle or a Halloween wheel reward.
For your first session, check your Playstyles, unlock the Sponsor interface after four matches and take advantage of the daily Halloween ticket limit. Solo Showdown is an option for those who want to play without a squad.
