Is Suicune Good in Pokémon GO?
Suicune is best known for its impressive defensive stats rather than its raw damage output. While there are stronger Water-type attackers available for raids, Suicune’s excellent bulk allows it to survive much longer in battle than many alternatives.
This makes it an appealing choice for Trainers who value durability, although players focused purely on raid damage will usually find Kyogre or other top Water-type Pokémon to be stronger options.
Suicune is also a popular Legendary among collectors thanks to its iconic design and regular appearances in Pokémon GO events.

Suicune’s best moveset combines Snarl with Hydro Pump for the highest overall damage output in most situations. While Suicune has access to several Charged Attacks, Hydro Pump remains its strongest Water-type attack and is generally the preferred option for raid battles. Trainers using Suicune in PvP may choose different moves depending on the format, but Hydro Pump continues to provide excellent finishing power.
Can Suicune Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?

Shiny Suicune is available in Pokémon GO whenever its Shiny form is enabled during Legendary Raids. The Shiny version features a lighter blue body and subtle colour changes that make it one of the most elegant Shiny Legendary Pokémon. Every successful raid gives Trainers a chance of encountering a Shiny Suicune, making raid events the best opportunity to add one to your collection.
How to Get Suicune in Pokémon GO
Suicune is a Legendary Pokémon that is usually available through five-star raids whenever it returns to the current Pokémon GO raid rotation. Unlike standard Pokémon, Suicune does not spawn in the wild and is only occasionally available through special events or limited-time Research.
For most Trainers, defeating Suicune in Legendary Raids is the only way to catch one. If Suicune isn’t currently available, you’ll need to wait until Niantic includes it in a future raid rotation.
Is Suicune Worth Using in Pokémon GO?

PvP
Suicune has niche use in GO Battle League thanks to its exceptional defensive stats and ability to outlast opponents. While it isn’t one of the most commonly used Legendary Pokémon in competitive play, it can perform well in certain team compositions where survivability is more important than dealing maximum damage.
Raids
Suicune is a reliable Water-type raid attacker, but it is generally outclassed by Pokémon such as Kyogre, Primal Kyogre and other high-damage Water-types. Even so, its durability makes it a solid choice for newer Trainers who haven’t yet built a dedicated Water-type team, and it remains a worthwhile addition to any Legendary collection.
