Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026 is live on official servers from October 15 to November 5, with Candy Hunts, Frankenstein Monsters and haunted dungeon portals returning together. There are also Scarecrows and Mummies to fight, limited-time craftables and two rare rewards worth watching for.
Candy Hunts, Scarecrows, Mummies, portals and Frankenstein Monsters all have different rewards. Some are easy to try without preparation; others involve dungeon fights or collecting specific body parts.
Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026: what is happening during Halloween?
The event’s activities run alongside ordinary survival gameplay. Candy Hunts happen twice each in-game day, and the hostile Halloween NPCs and portals provide combat activities between competitions. The more dangerous fights are best approached with weapons and enough inventory space to take the loot home.
Scarecrows and Mummies return as hostile enemies. Defeating them produces Halloween materials and can give you the body parts used to create a Frankenstein Monster. The rare Ghost Sheet Costume and Vampire Stake also return, so there are reasons to seek event loot even if you aren’t interested in building a monster.

Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026: how Halloween Candy Hunt works
Candy Hunt appears twice per in-game Rust day. A 15-second countdown gives nearby players time to react, and the actual collection round lasts three minutes. Look for the glowing candy that appears nearby and gather as much as you can before the timer expires.
The top five players receive rewards. First place gets three Medium Lootbags and second place gets one. Third, fourth and fifth receive five, three and one Small Lootbags respectively. The reward quantities are important because the Vampire Stake is a rare drop from Small Candy Bags, not a guaranteed prize for participating.
Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026: frankenstein, portals and dungeon fights
Frankenstein’s Table lets you combine a Head, Torso and Legs to assemble your own monster. Each part can come in Light, Medium or Heavy varieties, and the pieces don’t all need to share a tier. Command Wheel options let the monster follow you, protect you or attack a target.
Halloween portals also appear on the map and lead into themed dungeons with hostile Scarecrows. Treat those as combat destinations rather than ordinary safe teleporters. Bring weapons, protection and enough supplies for a fight before entering.

Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026: limited-time crafting and rare rewards
The event brings back Halloween-themed weapons and decorations with default crafting recipes for the event. You can inspect their requirements in the in-game crafting menu, rather than needing to discover special blueprints for everything.
The Ghost Sheet Costume is a rare reward, while the Vampire Stake is associated with Small Candy Bags. A successful strike with the stake can instantly defeat a Scarecrow. Double Eleven hasn’t published reliable drop percentages for those rare rewards, so don’t assume each bag will contain one.
| Halloween activity | Rewards or purpose |
|---|---|
| Candy Hunt | Ranked lootbags and rare candy drops |
| Scarecrows and Mummies | Halloween materials and Frankenstein body parts |
| Frankenstein’s Table | Craft and customise a controllable monster |
| Halloween portals | Dungeon fights against Scarecrows |
| Seasonal crafting | Limited-time equipment and decorations |
During Rust Console Edition Halloween 2026, the quickest way to get involved is to watch for the Candy Hunt countdown. If you’re more interested in the Frankenstein Monster or portal dungeons, prepare weapons and a space for Frankenstein’s Table instead. The different activities reward different kinds of preparation.
