Rust PC Halloween 2026 is running from 22 October through 5 November 2026. Candy Hunts, Scarecrows, Mummies, Frankenstein’s Monster and randomly appearing rifts have returned to the PC game, alongside seasonal decorations and costumes. Facepunch hasn’t given a precise end hour in its Halloween announcement.
The activities work differently: Candy Hunt is a short leaderboard contest, monster parts come from undead enemies, and Halloween shop cosmetics are separate purchases. If you’re playing on console, check the Console Edition guides instead because its event rewards and rules aren’t the same as Rust PC.
Rust PC Halloween 2026 start and end dates
Rust PC Halloween 2026 went live with Facepunch’s October 22 Halloween update and ends on November 5. The patch is for the PC game. Its seasonal features include the three-minute Candy Hunt, monsters that drop Frankenstein parts, random rifts and Halloween shop items.
There is a separate Rust Twitch Drops Round 54 campaign with general skins available through 1 November. The Twitch Rivals Spooky Backpack was exclusive to a single day on 23 October and is already over. Those stream rewards are separate from the Halloween gameplay that runs through 5 November.
How the Rust PC Halloween 2026 Candy Hunt works
Approximately once every two in-game days, the server starts a three-minute Candy Hunt. Players collect Halloween Candy and compete for the highest total. The top three finishers receive special loot bags on PC, according to Facepunch’s October 22 announcement. You can still keep and combine your candy if you don’t finish on the podium.
You can combine candy into better loot bags. Facepunch’s official item information describes 10 Halloween Candies for a Small Loot Bag, then combining ten Small Bags into a Medium and ten Medium into a Large. The higher tiers offer better possible loot, but upgrading doesn’t guarantee a particular item.
Rewards from candy and bags can range from Scrap to an M249. For the Rust PC Halloween 2026 hunt, collect as much as you can before the timer ends, then decide whether to open or combine your haul. The specific route depends on the local terrain and how many players are competing nearby.
Where to get Frankenstein Monster body parts
To build the Frankenstein pet in Rust PC Halloween 2026, defeat Scarecrows and Mummies and search their corpses. You need a head, torso and legs. Craft a Frankenstein’s Table, place the parts inside it and awaken your monster. Facepunch confirms that it can follow you, defend you when attacked and attack enemies you direct it towards.
Press P to open the monster’s pet command menu by default. If that binding isn’t working, check the in-game controls or enter bind X +pets in the console, replacing X with a key you choose. The developer announcement does not list guaranteed body-part drop rates, so repeated undead kills may be necessary.
Rust PC Halloween 2026 portal locations and what we know
The Halloween rifts appear at random map locations. Facepunch hasn’t published a set of coordinates that you can reliably follow on every server. Bring supplies before entering: the announcement deliberately leaves their destination and threats for players to discover.
Server owners can change rift population with halloweendungeon.population. That explains why some community servers have more portals than others. Check your own map and server settings rather than relying on a supposedly universal portal spawn list.
Wooden Stake, Dracula Mask and Cape
The returning Wooden Stake is obtainable from undead corpses and has a special one-hit effect against undead enemies that can yield extra loot. Facepunch doesn’t provide a new craft recipe for it. The Dracula Cape can also be looted from fallen undead, so it is possible to obtain that garment through gameplay.
The Dracula Mask, on the other hand, is a store purchase. Once owned, it costs 10 Cloth to craft and provides early-game head protection. In Rust PC Halloween 2026, it’s worth keeping the purchased mask separate from the lootable cape, rather than searching enemy corpses for the store item.
All the new Rust Halloween store cosmetics
The limited item collection includes the Cultist Tile, Manor Ceiling and Derelict Wood wallpapers, a Skull Wall Lamp skin for the Tuna Can Lamp, and an inflatable Alien Costume with three decorative versions. The Spooky Decor Bundle combines the wallpapers and lamp with a Halloween Wreath and Halloween String Lights.
Facepunch also lists Halloween skins for the Metal Facemask, starter torch and mace, along with pumpkin carvings and skull decorations. These items are not prizes from the Candy Hunt just because they share the event theme. Check the live item store for pricing and whether a skin is still available.
Discord Zombie Wumpus Plush during Rust PC Halloween 2026
The Zombie Wumpus Plush is a separate Rust x Discord promotion running from 22 October to 5 November. Eligible paid Discord Nitro subscribers can use Discord Orbs in the Rust Game Shop, subject to the offer terms. The plush isn’t awarded by collecting candy or defeating Halloween enemies.
You can place and rotate the plush in your base, stack several of them and receive 70% comfort nearby. The reward is handled through Discord’s shop rather than Twitch or an in-game Halloween NPC. Check our dedicated Wumpus guide for the eligibility and claiming steps.
Rust PC Halloween 2026 versus Console Edition
