Rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins aren’t necessarily the same thing. Black Knight can instantly take you back to 2017, but Aura or Focus might make you brace yourself for a frantic build fight. Everyone seems to have a different answer, and that is exactly what makes the argument fun.
So we’re putting two questions to The Click’s readers: which Fortnite outfit do you believe is genuinely hardest to find, and which has the sweatiest reputation? Tell us your picks in the comments. These are nominations, not results from a poll that hasn’t happened, when we get to the end of season, we will run a poll to see who readers decide is the Rarest and Sweatiest Fortnite Skin.
Rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins: Make your two picks
1. Rarest skin: Which outfit or exclusive style do you think the fewest players own?
2. Sweatiest skin: Which outfit makes you expect an especially difficult opponent?
Leave your answers in the comments. You can choose one category or both, and you don’t have to pick one of our examples.
Rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins: Rarity nominations
Rarity isn’t simply a matter of how many days an outfit has been absent from the Item Shop. It also depends on how players originally obtained it, whether it was a promotional exclusive, and whether a particular style was only obtainable at one point in Fortnite’s history.
Black Knight
Original Chapter 1 Season 2 Battle Pass reward
Galaxy
Samsung promotional outfit
Black Knight was the final reward in Chapter 1 Season 2’s Battle Pass. Galaxy came through a Samsung promotion. Their histories are very different, which is why we’d love to know which you would nominate and why. Other possibilities include Double Helix, Honor Guard, IKONIK and original exclusive Skull Trooper or Ghoul Trooper styles, but don’t assume any of these has a verified ownership ranking.
Our existing rarest Fortnite skins guide goes into individual release histories, and the Chapter 1 Battle Pass collection shows where those early rewards fit.
Rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins: Sweaty nominations
Think of the outfit you spot across a build fight and immediately expect trouble. It might be Aura, Focus, Crystal, a superhero outfit or something completely different. None of them makes a player better at Fortnite, but certain designs have acquired a reputation through competitive play and the players who use them.
Aura
A familiar competitive-looking outfit
Focus
Often associated with competitive players
Crystal
A familiar choice in the sweaty skins debate
Aura and Focus are two of the best-known examples, while Crystal and soccer outfits also appear in plenty of community debates. Tell us which one you associate with an opponent who is about to turn a straightforward fight into a full editing demonstration.
For more background on that reputation, read our sweatiest Fortnite skins article.
How to nominate the rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins
Head to the comments beneath this article and tell us your picks. Something as simple as “Rarest: Galaxy. Sweatiest: Focus” is absolutely fine, although we’d love to hear what makes you choose them. If you think an overlooked outfit deserves attention, nominate it instead. We are not limiting you to anything above, these are just to give you an idea of what can be seen as a rare or sweaty skin, so dont attack us in the comments!
Comments are open for reader nominations, but that isn’t the same as a controlled one-person-one-vote poll. If we introduce formal voting, the ballot, eligibility rules, dates and results will be explained clearly.
Rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins: Could one outfit win both?
Of course. Some early exclusive outfits can look intimidating precisely because people associate them with veterans. But a skin doesn’t have to be rare to get a sweaty reputation, and a rare promotional outfit isn’t evidence that its owner plays competitively.
The rarest and sweatiest Fortnite skins debate needs two questions because rarity and competitive reputation measure different things. Fortnite’s cosmetic history spans Battle Pass rewards, Item Shop outfits, promotions, event unlocks and selectable styles. It’s a much more interesting conversation than forcing them all into one numbered ranking.
Who will win The Click Vote of 2026? Our last major vote is still proudly displayed on our X page (from 2021), so it’s about time we update things – and maybe we should use our socials!
