The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is a free Dragon-type deck distributed through the Gifts menu to celebrate the arrival of Dual Fusion. The gift features Mega Rayquaza ex and Dragonair from Ruler of the Skies, plus Gouging Fire from Paradox Drive. It became available with the expansion’s launch on 29 October 2026 in the UK.
Once you have claimed the gift, you can use its theme deck recipe to build the list in My Decks. This is separate from the six temporary Dual Fusion rentals, and you don’t need to win a special event battle to find it. Here is the claim route and what the confirmed Pokémon bring to the deck.
How to claim the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck
Open Pokémon TCG Pocket and go to Gifts. Look for the Dragon-type elite deck distributed alongside Dual Fusion, open the gift and claim it. The Pokémon Company announced this as a delivered present rather than a reward for pulling a specific card from the new booster packs.
The expansion launched at 6 PM PDT on 28 October 2026, which was 1 AM GMT on 29 October in Britain. The deck was announced alongside that launch. Check the Gifts screen for any displayed claim timer, particularly if you are returning to the game after a break.
How to build the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck after claiming
Pokémon’s official Japanese update gives the following route once the gift has been collected: My Decks → New Deck → Build from Theme Deck Recipe. Choose the elite deck recipe featuring Mega Rayquaza ex to create the list. English menu labels may be worded slightly differently, but the recipe route is part of the official announcement.
If you have already accepted the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck gift, look in the deck-building area instead of searching for another copy in Gifts. Check the recipe’s card list and Energy setup before taking it into a battle. You don’t have to switch to a Dual Fusion rental to use this separate deck.
Which Pokémon are included in the Dragon deck?
Three Pokémon are named in the announcement: Mega Rayquaza ex, Dragonair and Gouging Fire. Mega Rayquaza ex and Dragonair originally appeared in Ruler of the Skies, while Gouging Fire appeared in Paradox Drive. The elite deck brings those earlier cards together as a ready-made Dragon-themed option.
Mega Rayquaza ex’s Mega Burst is the featured attack, giving the deck a powerful offensive centrepiece. The precise supporting cards and quantities are best checked in the official recipe after claiming the gift, where you can see the list you are actually building. Use that list, rather than assuming another Rayquaza deck online has the same cards.
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is particularly handy if you missed cards from those earlier expansions. You can see the named Pokémon together and work through the supplied build recipe, rather than guessing which new Dual Fusion pack contains them.
Is the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck free?
Yes. The Pokémon Company describes it as a gift sent to players through Gifts. It is not a paid C1 pack, a redemption code or the reward from a separate Solo Battle. The important action is claiming the delivery in-game and then using the corresponding theme deck recipe.
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck gift should not be confused with the separate second-anniversary ticket, which can be exchanged for a booster pack containing a guaranteed two-star card. That ticket has its own event period and claim steps. Our anniversary ticket guide covers that reward.
How is the elite deck different from rental decks?
Six Dual Fusion rental decks are available for unlimited use during the current booster rotation. Two headline rentals feature Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex. They are replaced when the next booster expansion launches, with the current rotation ending on 15 December at 5:59 PM PST, or 16 December at 1:59 AM GMT.
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is instead delivered through Gifts and has its own recipe. It is not one of those six rotating choices. For the deck selector, match limits and expiry, use our Dual Fusion rental decks guide.
What if the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is missing?
First update Pokémon TCG Pocket, restart it and open Gifts again. Check the current gift listings and any claim deadlines shown there. If the delivery has already been collected, open My Decks, start a new deck and look for the theme deck recipe, as described in the official instructions.
If you are looking only at the C1 rental selector, you are in the wrong place for this gift. The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is the separate Dragon-type present featuring Mega Rayquaza ex, Dragonair and Gouging Fire. Once you have its recipe open, review the card list before choosing how to play it.
