The free Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck arrives with the Dual Fusion update on 29 October 2026. The Dragon-type deck will be delivered through the Gifts menu and includes Mega Rayquaza ex, Dragonair and Gouging Fire.
You won’t need to win a battle or pull Rayquaza from a booster pack first. The two things to do are collect the present and select its deck recipe. Here’s exactly where to look, along with what to check if it doesn’t appear.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck: release and claim time
The gift arrives with Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Dual Fusion expansion on 29 October 2026 at 1 AM GMT in the UK. The Pokémon Company has said it will be delivered through Gifts, not through a fight or special redemption code. The reward isn’t available yet on 27 October. After the expansion launches, open Gifts, find the elite deck present and tap Claim. Gifts have their own availability periods, so don’t leave it untouched if a deadline appears. The announcement doesn’t specify an expiry time for this particular gift.
How to claim Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck
After claiming the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck, open My Decks → New Deck → Build From Theme Deck Recipe and select the Mega Rayquaza ex elite list. Those steps come from Pokémon’s official Japanese update; the English menu may use slightly different wording. The gift is a deck, not an extra booster to find on the pack-opening screen.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck: confirmed cards
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck includes Mega Rayquaza ex and Dragonair from Ruler of the Skies, plus Gouging Fire from Paradox Drive. Rayquaza’s headline attack is Mega Burst. The full 20-card deck list and every Trainer quantity aren’t given in the English announcement, so use the recipe in Gifts rather than a fan-made deck screenshot. These are existing cards from earlier expansions, not new C1 dual-type cards.
Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck free?
Pokémon describes this as a free launch gift. There is no ranked requirement, event boss or code to enter. It’s separate from the six Dual Fusion rental decks, which rotate when the next booster arrives, and from the anniversary’s two-star pack ticket. You do not need rewards from the Mega Garchomp ex Drop Event or its expert battles to claim Rayquaza. Those October events use their own mission and promo-card rewards.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck missing from Gifts?
First check the date: Dual Fusion reaches the UK at 1 AM GMT on 29 October. If the gift is absent after launch, update the app and reopen Gifts. If you’ve already tapped Claim, look under the deck recipe menu rather than expecting the gift to appear a second time. Also check the Gifts expiry notice if you’re returning to the event much later. Our TCG Pocket codes guide is for different promotions.
How is it different from Dual Fusion rental decks?
The six Dual Fusion rentals feature new cards such as Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex and can be used unlimited times until the rotation ends in mid-December. The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rayquaza ex Elite Deck is a separate gift with a named Dragon-type recipe. You can test the gifted Dragon deck without first spending resources chasing the latest C1 packs. Try it alongside the new rentals before choosing which cards to collect for a permanent custom list. The Deluxe Pack: Mega and Ranked B4b are older content, not requirements for this gift.
