Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games: All Six Game Boy and GBA Additions

Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games include six new Game Boy and Game Boy Advance classics, all available now on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Three games work with standard Switch Online, but the other three need the Expansion Pack.

The Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games arrived in two batches: three GBA titles on 14 October and three Game Boy games on 27 October. They’re in different Nintendo Classics apps, so here’s which one to download and what to check if a game is missing.

All six Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 games

The Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games are split between two separate apps. The Game Boy titles require any active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The Game Boy Advance titles are included only with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

Game	System	Added	Membership
Avenging Spirit	Game Boy	27 October	Standard or Expansion Pack
Mole Mania	Game Boy	27 October	Standard or Expansion Pack
Revenge of the ‘Gator	Game Boy	27 October	Standard or Expansion Pack
Monster Rancher Advance	Game Boy Advance	14 October	Expansion Pack
Metal Slug Advance	Game Boy Advance	14 October	Expansion Pack
Kururin Paradise	Game Boy Advance	14 October	Expansion Pack

All six are part of the subscription, so there’s no separate purchase to make for each game. Both collections are playable on the original Switch as well as Switch 2. You don’t need to buy the newer console just to play the GBA additions.

October 27 Game Boy additions for standard Nintendo Switch Online

Avenging Spirit is an action platformer about a man who returns as a ghost to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. You can possess different enemies and use their abilities to get past obstacles and bosses, rather than playing with just one character’s moves.

Mole Mania follows Muddy Mole as he tries to rescue his family from the farmer Jinbe. You switch between travelling above ground and digging below it, pushing objects and solving puzzles to reach each exit. Shigeru Miyamoto produced the original Game Boy game.

Revenge of the ‘Gator, also known as Pinball: Revenge of the ‘Gator, is HAL Laboratory’s pinball game. It has four connected screens and three bonus stages, with extra balls and score multipliers to chase while you keep the ball away from the hungry gator below.

These three Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games are found in Game Boy – Nintendo Classics. You don’t need Expansion Pack to access them, provided the Nintendo Account you’re playing on has an active standard or higher membership.

October 14 Game Boy Advance additions for Expansion Pack

Monster Rancher Advance is about creating, raising and battling monsters. Instead of using the music CDs associated with the PlayStation games, you enter words to generate creatures, then train them and enter tournaments.

Metal Slug Advance brings the series’ side-scrolling shooting to GBA. You play as one of two recruits caught up in a dangerous island training exercise. Collectible cards give you extra things to find and can change the way you play.

Kururin Paradise has you guiding a continuously spinning craft through narrow passages without clipping the walls. It’s the follow-up to Kuru Kuru Kururin, with new courses and minigames. It was originally released only in Japan, and the UK Classics version retains Japanese in-game text, so don’t expect English menus.

For these Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games, open Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics. A standard membership won’t unlock this app’s games. Expansion Pack, however, includes the Game Boy Advance collection and the standard Game Boy library.

How to download Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 games

To access the Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games, open Nintendo eShop on Switch or Switch 2 with the account that has your membership. Search for Game Boy – Nintendo Classics for Avenging Spirit, Mole Mania and Revenge of the ‘Gator. Search for Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics for the GBA trio.

1. Download the correct Nintendo Classics app from Nintendo eShop. There’s no additional charge to download it for eligible members.
2. Open the app with the subscribed Nintendo Account.
3. Choose the game from the app’s library and start playing.
4. If you’ve already installed the app, make sure you’ve downloaded its latest update before checking for the new titles.

The Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games aren’t six separate downloads in eShop. You’ll find each one inside its Nintendo Classics app. This matters especially for Avenging Spirit, which also has a separately sold Switch version in the store. You don’t need to buy that release to play the original Game Boy game through your membership.

Why are the Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 games missing?

If the Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games aren’t showing up, the first thing to check is that you’re opening the right app. A GBA title won’t appear in Game Boy – Nintendo Classics, even though both libraries are covered under the broader Nintendo Switch Online service.

Next, update your app. From the HOME Menu, highlight the appropriate Nintendo Classics icon and press + or −. Choose Software Update, then Via the Internet. Nintendo lists those steps for manually getting the latest software version.

If the Game Boy Advance app won’t let you play, check that your membership includes Expansion Pack. A standard subscription won’t unlock it. Also make sure you’re using the Nintendo Account covered by that membership. Someone else’s subscription on the same console doesn’t automatically give your profile access unless your account is included in the relevant Family Membership.

A free seven-day Switch Online trial covers the standard tier, not Expansion Pack. That means trial members can play the Game Boy trio but not Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance or Kururin Paradise. Nintendo also notes that eligible trials convert into a paid standard membership unless cancelled.

If you haven’t connected your console to the internet for a while, sign in again to refresh the membership check. Nintendo allows up to seven consecutive days of offline Classics play before another verification is required. For persistent download or licence problems, the related Nintendo guides below cover those errors in more detail.

Do you keep the October 2026 games when your membership ends?

No. The Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games remain subscription titles, so access ends when your membership expires. Nintendo says the Classics save data stays on your console, ready to use again if you renew.

If you’re subscribing specifically for the Nintendo Switch Online October 2026 Games, the split is simple. A standard membership gets you Avenging Spirit, Mole Mania and Revenge of the ‘Gator. Expansion Pack unlocks those three plus Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise. All six are ready to play on either Switch or Switch 2.
