Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up is a Season 1 premium feature that automatically brings qualifying players up to the Battle Pass reward matching the current day of the season, capped at day 50. The new linear 100-tier system launches November 6, 2026, at 5 AM GMT in Britain.
It’s designed for players who join the premium pass late or haven’t kept up with the season. The game brings them forward to the reward corresponding to the current day, through day 50, while the rest of the 100-tier track is earned through normal play.
How Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up works

Once the Season 1 pass is live, sign in and open the Battle Pass screen. If you own premium and your current reward is behind the season calendar, the catch-up applies automatically to the day-matched reward. You can then keep progressing through the rest of the track.
For example, on day 20 of the season, a premium buyer who is still on an earlier reward catches up to the day-20 point. On day 60, the automatic catch-up stops at day 50. Neither scenario hands out the whole 100-tier pass.
Which Battle Pass purchases qualify?
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up is included with the standard Season 1 premium Battle Pass at 1,100 COD Points and the Battle Pass Bundle at 2,400 COD Points. Both are advertised as providing access to the catch-up system. The free Battle Pass track does not include this premium catch-up benefit.
BlackCell has its own purchase bonuses, including 20 Tier Skip Tokens and extra cosmetics. Those skips are separate from the day-based catch-up. If you own BlackCell, check both the instant items and where your normal pass progression currently sits.
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up: what does day 50 mean?
The number that matters is the day of the season. If you fall behind, catch-up moves you to the matching reward through day 50. Once you’re ahead of that point, carry on playing to unlock more tiers normally.
The redesigned Battle Pass follows one linear track. Open it to collect unlocked rewards, then play matches to progress. If your existing progress already exceeds the current day, there’s nothing for the automatic system to catch up.
Free guns versus premium cosmetics
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up isn’t needed for the Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle at free Tier 16 and the CSG-35 SMG at free Tier 36. You do not have to buy the premium pass just to earn their base versions through the standard free progression track. Their blueprints are separate rewards at Tiers 87 and 73.
Premium also adds Operator skins, blueprints, COD Points and DMZ Survival Kits. The instant purchase bonuses include Blix’s Downpour skin, Fortune’s Favor FiNN LMG blueprint, Happy Boom Sticky Grenade blueprint and a 10% Battle Pass XP boost. The reward list has the named tiers and completion items.
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up: Tier 100 and completion rewards
The Tier 100 reward is the Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant weapon blueprint. Premium players who complete the 100-tier path also qualify for completion rewards including Blix’s Vantage skin, the Blue Viper Hyeon Burst blueprint, 200 COD Points, the Honor’s Harbinger Calling Card, Virtue’s Snarl Emblem and a DMZ Survival Kit.
The new catch-up mechanic stops at day 50, so it cannot grant the Bellum blueprint by itself. Completing the remainder of the track through play is still necessary. The broader Season 1 guide lists the announced weapons, maps and release time.
Why catch-up isn’t showing
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up begins with Season 1 on November 6 at 5 AM GMT. Before that, the new linear reward track and its catch-up calculation are not yet active. Once it begins, check the Battle Pass screen after installing the season update and confirm that you bought the premium pass rather than only using the free tiers.
Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Catch-Up is an automatic benefit for premium owners who are behind. If your progress is already beyond today’s reward, keep playing rather than trying to trigger an extra grant. Our Warzone guide explains the shared Season 1 rollout.
