Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo is a free universal weapon camo obtained by verifying the email on your Activision account. You don’t need to buy the Season 1 Battle Pass, win an event or finish weapon challenges to claim it. Activision confirms that a successful email verification grants the reward to your connected in-game account.
Locked Down works on Modern Warfare 4 weapons in both MW4 and Warzone. You only need to verify the email on the Activision account linked to your game. Anyone who verified that address previously is covered by Activision’s automatic reward grant by Season 1.
Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo: How to verify your email
Open callofduty.com/verify-email, sign into the Activision account you use for MW4 and select Send Verification Email. Check which email address is displayed so you know where the message will arrive. The verification must be completed through that account’s inbox.
Open the email and click its confirmation link. If it hasn’t arrived, check the junk folder, then use Resend Link on the official verification page. When the page confirms your address is verified, the reward is delivered to your linked Call of Duty account.
Where to find the camo in Gunsmith
To equip Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo, open an eligible Modern Warfare 4 weapon in the Gunsmith and inspect its available universal weapon camos. Locked Down is an account reward rather than a reward for levelling that individual gun or unlocking a particular reticle. Choose an MW4 weapon when checking, even if you’re playing through Warzone.
If Modern Warfare 4 was open when you completed verification, quit and relaunch it. Then return to the weapon-camo menu. The verification page can also show a confirmation that the camo has been delivered, helping you check whether the account reward was processed.
Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo: Already verified your account?
Already verified your email before this promotion? Activision says those accounts will receive the camo automatically by the November 6 Season 1 launch. Use your existing account and check the reward there, rather than setting up a new profile.
Double-check that the Activision ID shown in the game is the one you verified. If you’re signed into a different linked account, the reward may be sitting with your original profile. Use a Modern Warfare 4 weapon when looking for the new universal camo.
Fix a missing camo reward
If Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo is missing, confirm that the email link completed verification, not just that the email was sent. Restart the game, check the correct Activision ID and look under universal camos for an eligible MW4 weapon. If the reward still hasn’t appeared, use Activision Support.
When contacting support, give your Activision ID, whether the website confirms email verification, the game platform and whether you restarted. Keep your password and any security or two-factor authentication codes private. Don’t follow third-party unlock websites claiming to grant the camo instantly.
Does it work in Warzone?
Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo works in Warzone, but only on Modern Warfare 4 weapons across MW4 and Call of Duty: Warzone. The Warzone Legacy tab includes older weapons from MWII, MWIII, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7; those don’t automatically qualify for this MW4-only universal camo. Our integration guide explains the legacy weapon split.
This email reward is separate from the Season 1 Weapon Camo Events, where players earn appearances through match XP. It also doesn’t require the premium Battle Pass or Wager Match Trophies. Our Season 1 guide explains those other unlocks.
Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo: Quick steps
To claim Modern Warfare 4 Locked Down Camo, verify your existing Activision account email at the official page, complete the link from your inbox and reopen the game. If the account was already verified, look for Activision’s automatic grant by Season 1.
The reward costs nothing and doesn’t use COD Points. It applies to Modern Warfare 4 weapons, including when you equip those weapons in Warzone after integration on November 6.
