How to Hire Workers in TCG Card Shop Simulator uses the GO Recruit app on your in-game phone. Staff unlock at shop-level milestones, charge an upfront hiring fee and then take a daily salary, so the right moment to hire is when a worker can remove a bottleneck that is already costing sales or eating all of your time.
The first employee becomes available around shop level 10. From there, later hires specialise in different checkout and restocking speeds, which means the cheapest person is not automatically the best fit for every store.
How to Hire a Worker

- Open the phone.
- Select GO Recruit.
- Choose a worker whose level requirement you have reached.
- Check the hiring fee, daily salary and speed ratings.
- Confirm the hire.
- Find the employee outside the shop and speak to them.
- Assign the task you actually need them to perform.
What Jobs Can Workers Do?
Workers can take over core shop jobs such as checkout and restocking, and the game has expanded staff tasks over Early Access. The point is not to remove the player from the shop completely; it is to automate repetitive work so you can order stock, open packs, trade cards, redesign the floor or play Tetramon.
Talk to a worker whenever you need to change duties. A store that was short on stock yesterday may need another cashier today after a layout or product change.
How to Hire Workers in TCG Card Shop Simulator – Who Should You Hire First?
The first practical hire is the one that fixes your worst recurring problem. If customers are forming a long register queue, prioritise checkout. If high-margin shelves sit empty while boxes are piled in storage, prioritise restocking.
Early employee Zackery Cole is a normal-speed restocker but a slower cashier, so he makes more sense when shelf work is the immediate problem. Later employees have different strengths, including much faster checkout specialists.
Why Daily Salary Matters
Workers are not a one-time upgrade. Every employed staff member adds daily payroll, which means hiring three people before the shop can support them can turn a profitable-looking store into a cash drain.
A useful employee should either protect revenue, improve throughput or free enough of your time to create value elsewhere. If you are standing around with nothing to do while staff wages eat the margin, you hired ahead of the business.
When Is a Fast Cashier Worth It?
Once customer volume rises, checkout speed becomes more valuable because every queued visitor delays the next stage of the shop cycle. Later hires such as Clark Cash are notable for much faster register work than early generalists.
That does not mean you should rush levels or bankrupt the shop just to reach one employee. Use the staff you can afford, then upgrade when the queue proves the need.
When Is a Fast Stocker Worth It?
A fast stocker matters most when you deliberately concentrate on products that move quickly. If a profitable box sells out repeatedly, keeping it faced can be more valuable than adding another product category.
This works especially well with the best-products strategy and a layout that keeps back stock near the shelves it feeds.

Can Workers Replace Ordering?
No. Staff can automate parts of the floor operation, but you still need to manage the business. Product licences, purchasing decisions, cash reserves and major expansion choices remain yours.
Think of workers as throughput tools, not autonomous managers. Their value comes from removing repetitive clicks and walking so you can spend attention on higher-value decisions.
How to Hire Workers in TCG Card Shop Simulator – What Changed for Workers in 1.0?
OPNeon’s Early Access recap lists worker improvements as one of the systems developed on the road to full release. The final 1.0 notes also fix a bug involving worker skill levels being lost after firing and saving, which matters if you reorganise staff around launch.
Existing saves carry into version 1.0, so your established workforce is not supposed to disappear simply because the game has left Early Access. The official developer notes contain the launch fix list.
Should You Hire Before Expanding?
Often, yes. If the existing floor is already big enough but you cannot personally keep it running, a worker can solve the real problem more cheaply than paying higher rent for space you do not need yet. Expand when floor capacity is the bottleneck; hire when labour is.
Our expansion guide helps separate those two situations.
