Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards include a free Fix It Gear Head Thrall reward in the Battle.net Shop and a separate 7-Day Boost Twitch Drop for watching the Heroes Classic Cup. The two rewards use different claim methods, so it is worth grabbing both rather than assuming one automatically unlocks the other.
Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards are part of Blizzard’s wider BlizzCon 2026 celebration. The Thrall reward can be claimed from the Battle.net Shop through September 28, while the 7-Day Boost is tied to one hour of eligible Heroes of the Storm Twitch viewing on September 12.
All Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards
There are two main Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards available during BlizzCon.
| Reward | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Fix It Gear Head Thrall | Claim free from the Battle.net Shop by September 28 |
| 7-Day Boost | Watch one hour of the Heroes Classic Cup on Twitch on September 12 |
These are separate promotions.
You do not need to watch Twitch to claim the free Thrall reward, and claiming Thrall from the shop does not complete the one-hour Twitch requirement.
How to claim Fix It Gear Head Thrall free
Blizzard says all players can claim Fix It Gear Head Thrall as one of the free BlizzCon 2026 rewards.
Open the Battle.net Shop while signed into the Battle.net account where you want the reward.
Find the free Heroes of the Storm BlizzCon reward and complete the zero-cost claim.
No BlizzCon Digital Bundle purchase is required.
Blizzard lists the free shop rewards as available through September 28, 2026.
Is Fix It Gear Head Thrall really free?
Yes. Blizzard explicitly describes the Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft II shop rewards as free, with no purchase necessary.
That makes Fix It Gear Head Thrall different from the paid BlizzCon Digital Bundles sold for games such as World of Warcraft, Overwatch and Diablo IV.
Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards therefore give HotS players something to claim even if they are not buying any BlizzCon bundle.
How to get the 7-Day Boost Twitch Drop
The second Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards route is a 7-Day Boost.
To earn it, watch one hour of the Heroes of the Storm Classic Cup in the Heroes of the Storm category on Twitch on September 12.
The official BlizzCon Viewership Guide specifically ties the reward to the Classic Cup and says the one-hour watch requirement is available on September 12 only.
Link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts before watching so the reward can be attached correctly.
Does any Heroes stream count?
For the 7-Day Boost, Blizzard says to watch one hour of the Classic Cup in the Heroes of the Storm category on Twitch. Watch an official or clearly eligible Classic Cup broadcast and check Twitch’s Drops indicator before committing the full hour.
How to claim the 7-Day Boost
After completing one hour, open your Twitch Drops Inventory and claim the Heroes of the Storm reward.
Do not assume the boost appears automatically just because the timer reaches 100 percent.
Your Twitch and Battle.net accounts need to be linked for delivery to the correct account.
If you are unsure whether the connection is active, Battle.net’s account Connections page is the place to check before the match begins.
Can you claim both Heroes rewards?
Yes. Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards use separate systems and nothing in Blizzard’s announcement says claiming one prevents the other.
Claim Fix It Gear Head Thrall through the Battle.net Shop and complete the one-hour Classic Cup Twitch requirement for the 7-Day Boost.
The shop reward has the longer deadline, while the Twitch Drop is tied to September 12, so prioritise the one-hour Twitch requirement today.
Do you need a BlizzCon ticket?
No. Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards are available to online players.
BlizzCon is being livestreamed free, and a physical BlizzCon Pass is not required for either reward.
When do the Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards end?
Fix It Gear Head Thrall remains claimable through September 28 in the Battle.net Shop.
The 7-Day Boost Twitch Drop is tied to September 12 and the Heroes Classic Cup.
That difference is important because you can safely claim Thrall later, but you cannot assume the Classic Cup watch opportunity remains available after the event day.
Heroes of the Storm Free BlizzCon Rewards are unusually generous for a game without a paid 2026 BlizzCon bundle, so it is worth taking a few minutes to claim the shop reward and one hour to finish the Twitch Drop.
